The Draglen Brothers - DRAKEN (BK 1)
I still feel embarrassed about how I was
treated, but this party will redeem me, and it will be Draken
wishing he could have me. Ha! I don’t have to drive very long
before I’m in front of Donna Marie’s house. I pull up and my car is
taken away for parking. I head in and go straight to the music, I
start dancing, moving very slow. Dancing alone can be so fun at
times, and you get to see the reaction of the guys, and ladies. I
hear Suzy before I see her.
“Cess, Cess!” Suzy yells over the
music. As I turn, she is dancing towards me. Suzy and I are the
best dancers among our friends. They all think they’re too proper
to do what we do. There is never shame in our dancing, just
freedom. She finally reaches me, and we are dancing and
talking.
“You look fabulous! Every guy here is
going to want you,” Suzy says.
“You are the one who looks amazing,
that blue fitted dress is painted on, and I can see every curve.
You wouldn’t be trying to catch someone tonight?”
“Maybe, I’ve got to go mingle. Have
fun! I’m sure your neighbor boys are coming. Donna Marie is very
convincing,” Suzy says, grinning. What the hell did she say? Before
I can ask her, she’s gone, moving through the people. I move away
from the dance floor, just walking around. I really enjoy Donna
Marie’s house. It’s very lavish, like ours. I take a walk around,
and finally spot him. Bitch! He is all over her, and they look as
if they are in love. That’s how we were until she got her little
slutty hands on him. I should watch them make out. I need to go. So
much time has passed, yet I can’t get over Travis. I hate that
name. I truly loved him, and my heart still breaks, watching him
kiss and love another. I spent all that time hoping I could be his
everything, when all along he was passing time with me, and really
wanted Lauren. Lauren is pretty, but I would never have guessed it.
He still looks so good. He notices me staring as he kisses her
neck. The eye contact is instant, so I flip him off. He just gives
Lauren a deep kiss, tugging at her hips. Damn, I miss sex. Turning,
I go to an empty area, and let the tears fall as I sit on a bench.
I don’t realize I’m sobbing until I hear a voice, I’m crying so
hard. I just ignore the person, hoping he leaves. Then hands are on
my shoulders, caressing me. I don’t look to see who it is, I’m
happy that someone is not telling me to get over it. Then, his
mouth is next to my ear.
    “Hello, Cess, who made you
cry?”
“Showken?” I say, leaning away, oh my,
does he look tasty. Why is he here? Oh yeah, Donna
Marie.
“Who made you cry?” Showken asks
again. I’m so astonished at his deep green eyes, I don’t notice the
other brothers walk up. Oh, I’m surrounded by hot men, that will
surely make me feel better!
    “Hi, Showken. It’s nothing, just
seeing someone who hurt me, it can be a little too much at times.”
I say, wiping my face with a handkerchief out of my
handbag.
“So, this man was your ex?” Layern
says. Wow, how did I remember his name? He looks at me so caringly.
I wonder if Draken is here too.
    “No, he’s not here.”
“Shit!” I say, jumping back. How the
hell did he know that? “How did you know what I was thinking?” I
ask.
“I didn’t, your body can tell me a
lot, besides, I have what you might call strong perception.” Layern
says, smiling.
“Where is this guy that makes such a
beautiful lady cry?” Showken asks, searching my eyes. I look around
and see the other brothers’ eyes roaming over my body. Wow, at
least someone wants me.
“Don’t worry about him, Showken, I’m
fine. I think I’m going home,” I say, turning to leave, but he
pulls me back in front of him. I know these men are going to be
trouble.
“Wait, we just got here, and we want
to dance,” Showken says, smiling, and I see those dimples again.
Yikes!
“We? I mean, I’m sure all the ladies
would like to dance with you guys,” I say, blushing. They are just
a bunch
