he says he’s going to do.  She’s not holding up her end of the lease she signed.  He’s well within his rights.
“I’m really sorry about this, Haillee.  I wish things could be different.  I hope that you know that this isn’t personal.  It’s just business.”
“I understand totally, Bill.  I would do the exact same thing if I were in your shoes.”
“Okay, well, that’s all I came here to say.  I wish I was visiting under better circumstances.”
                  “Me too.”
“I hope that you are able to come up with the money and we can continue on with our agreement.”
                  “Me too.”
                  “Good day.”
She watches him get up and leave.  Her day keeps getting better and better.  She knew this day was going to come.  It was inevitable.  She had been shuffling funds around with the main goal of keeping the fridges stocked and paying her employees.  Paying the rent was put on the backburner and she knew it was eventually going to come and bite her in the ass.  She needs to find a way to get money to pay the rent.  If she doesn’t have a space then she doesn’t have a restaurant, plain and simple.  She starts to rack her brain for solutions to her problem.

    Chapter 4

Haillee’s exhausted and she just wants to put her feet up and take a hot bath.  When she walks through the door of her apartment, she is surprised to kind Kyle waiting for her.  She wasn’t expecting to see him tonight.  They had spoken earlier and decided that they were going to spend the night apart.
“What are you doing here?” she asks, kind of wishing that he wasn’t standing in front of her.
“I wanted to surprise you.  I made dinner for us.  I thought that we could spend some time together.”
She’s about to tell him how tired she is, but she stops herself.  When he spoke to her about how much time she was spending at the restaurant and neglecting him, it didn’t fall on deaf ears.  She made note of it and made a decision that she was going to try to spend more time with him.  She decided that Kyle wasn’t the only one in the relationship that needed to make changes.  After thinking about things, she realizes that there were areas that she needed to make more of an effort in and making time to spend with Kyle was one of them.
“Wow.  Really?  You made dinner for us?”
“I made your favorite, spaghetti and meatballs.”
                  “You made it yourself?”
“All by my lonesome,” he says, a proud grin on his face.
“Well, I’m impressed.  Is it ready now?”
“It’s ready and waiting on the table.”
She follows him into the kitchen.  He has mellow music playing, candles lit on the table and a bottle of champagne chilling.  She really is impressed.  She can’t remember the last time Kyle took the time to plan something romantic for them.  This is the setting she had imagined when she had rushed home that night to surprise him and found him in bed with Stella.
He pulls the chair out for her and helps her to sit down.  “What brought this on?” she asks, watching him open the bottle of champagne.
“I just wanted to do something special for you and show you how much you mean to me.”
“You really shouldn’t have,” she says, placing a napkin in her lap.
“I absolutely should have.  After everything that I put you
