shall we?” I smiled as I drew my eyes away from the man who had caught my attention.
Melody stepped up on the table, holding her hand out for me. I took her hand and joined her. We both moved to the pole in the middle of the table. When a new song began to play, I cleared my head and let the music wash over me. Melody and I were both using the pole as if it was the third in our threesome. We seductively twirled our bodies around each other before parting ways. She took the right side of the table while I took the left.
I made my way to the edge of the table, turning my back to the bachelor. I looked over at Melody as I danced in place, moving my body to the music as I pushed my dress down over me. My eyes went straight to the same pair of piercing eyes that had caught my attention earlier. I watched as Melody made her way over to him on her hands and knees. She leaned into him and placed her hand on his chest. She moved closer trying to pop the button on his shirt. She managed to get the first button undone before his hand came up stopping her. He shook his head no before whispering something in her ear. I turned around to face the bachelor at the same time Melody moved on to the next guy. When the song was over we stepped off the table and joined the guys for a drink. Melody had focused all of her attention on the bachelor.
I slipped my dress back on while a few of the guys scattered to the main floor, leaving only a handful sitting at the table. I focused on the same guy who kept grabbing my attention. I smiled as I slipped into the booth next to him.
I turned to him. My eyes were lost in a sea of arctic blue that stared back at me. “Hi.” I smiled at him, still lost in the depths of his eyes.
“Hello, Faith.” He smiled as he lifted a glass to his mouth, taking a drink.
“Well, since you know my name, I think it’s only fair you tell me yours.”
“Bryce.”
Chapter Nine
The rest of the night went by pretty fast. I spent a lot of time with the bachelor party and Bryce before the bachelor had enough and was ready to pass out. By the time we were done for the night, I was sitting in the dressing room with a big smile on my face. There was something about Bryce. Something that lit a spark in me that I never thought I would ever feel again.
“Are we going to Tommy’s?” Melody asked as she started changing into a pair of jeans.
“Sure. Meet you there?” I asked as I pulled a hoodie over my head.
“Sounds good. I shouldn’t be much longer.”
I finished changing my clothes, piling my stuff into my bag, tipping the DJ and bouncers, before making my way to my car.
I made the short drive to Tommy’s and took a booth in the back, and then waited for Melody to arrive.
“Hey, girly.” Melody smiled as she sat down in the booth across from me.
“Hey.” I smiled at her.
The waitress brought us our menus and took our drink orders. I sat in silence looking over the menu as Melody rambled on about how she needed new shoes.
“You’re being awfully quiet, Faith, what’s up?” Melody asked as she sipped her shake through a straw.
“Huh?” I looked up at her playing with the straw from my glass of cherry cola.
“You are being really quiet. What’s up? I mean, after the bachelor party tonight you just seem, I don’t know, distracted?” She shrugged as she sat back in the booth.
“It’s nothing, really.” I shrugged it off.
“Okay, if you say so.”
I knew what she was talking about. I couldn’t stop thinking about him. Bryce. His eyes. I couldn’t stop thinking about the way he sat there staring at me as though he was staring straight into my soul.
“So, how did you make out for the night?” I asked, changing the subject.
She smiled at me and set her drink on the table. “I did fantastic, considering all the time we lost entertaining the bachelor party.”
“I hate doing bachelor parties, but I must say by the time we got him up on
