Shit, he could get arrested for that walk. Each predatory step infused with seduction; it teased, tempted, and called to her. And, oh boy, she had a clit that needed satisfying, and she was staring at the man to do it.
Rune turned and studied her. “Are you going to tell me what happened?”
Shit, that was a dampener, her sexual thoughts nosedived. “I crashed my car?” Her words dripped with sarcasm. He’d rescued her and had to ask that?
“How?” He loped across the room with a slow, animal grace and again settled on the bed.
Jess wished he’d keep his distance; her fanny pinged and her clit pounded. God, she could taste his potent scent, the heady masculinity oozed from his pores. The image of the grey-eyed killer rose. No way was she telling him what she’d seen.
    What she thought she saw.
He’d have her sectioned and she’d never lose her virginity.
Maybe it had been a film set she’d wandered into, using the diner, recording a vamp series like True Blood. That had to be it; the more she thought about it, the more it made sense. God, but she was a wimp with an overactive imagination.
“Do you intend answering me?” Rune’s tone bit out sharp and demanding.
“Guess I drove too fast and lost control,” said Jess.
She still couldn’t believe he was the hunk that Kitty had spoken about, and the coincidence that she’d ended up at Caprice. Was it fate, she wondered? She attempted to work out what would happen next, where she would stay. Who she would pick? Jess gave a glimmer of a sneaky peak at Rune.
She knew damn well who that would be but remembered what Kitty had told her. That he never took part and tried to stop her female hormones from committing suicide. Easy girls.
Her mind was a whirl of thoughts, all randy, and all desperately needy.

Rune paused, and then nodded. He knew she was hiding something. But he had patience, he’d wait.
“So, er, what happens now? Where do I stay?” She chewed uncertainly on her bottom lip.
Rune had already decided. It was possible he was making a hell of a mistake but couldn’t stop himself.
He was supposed to be concentrating on the killings by the rogue vamps, not on the sexy siren before him. One that hit him hard. Yet to all outward purposes, he appeared calm and in command, but nothing could be further from the truth. It took every piece of steely resolve for Rune to keep his desire chained. “You remain here, in my quarters, for the duration of your stay.”
Jess propped herself up on one elbow; a frown crossed her face. “Sorry, I don’t get it. What about the brochure?”
“Is now obsolete.” He rose and towered over her, tempted to clutch one plump breast that bulged against the glaring red net. He approved of the vibrant colour, it matched the swirling glints in her dark hair.
“What do you mean?” Jess winced at the pain splitting over her head. She pushed her mane of locks back. “I get to pick who I, er I mean, wh…” Her words petered off. Her face heated, stained with colour; she wished he didn’t look so stern, so severe, so hot and Goddamn sexy.
“If you’re trying say you get to select who you fuck, then that decision has been taken away.”

Jess flushed at his crudeness. “You’re not making sense.” Panic began to set in. No way was she leaving without getting what she’d come for. What she needed, to get laid with a hard erection thrusting deep inside her.
She’d had enough of her plastic friend, now she wanted someone to talk to after an orgasm. To curl into and feel loved. Even if it was pretence for a weekend only, one that was paid for to ensure she enjoyed it.
“Tonight you rest. I’ll see to it a tray is brought up.” His golden promise seared her. “And tomorrow your education begins, as my sub.”
“What? Whoa right there, just back up.” Shock and excitement tingled over her. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing; all her dreams were coming true. But Kitty’s words
