One Night of Pleasure: Military Romance Featuring a Sexy Navy Hero (Take a Chance Book 5)
the indent.  She moved her hand lower, but he grabbed it and tugged it upward playfully.
    “My turn, Bridget.”
Mark pumped the liquid soap out onto his hand and leisurely spread it all across the elegant slope of her shoulders and down to her hands.  Those hands that had caused him so much exquisite torture just moments before.
God how he had wanted her to put her hands on him.  Stroke him to completion.  Take him into that amazing mouth that was now just inches from his.
He bent and covered her mouth with his, nipping at her lips to open and accept the slide of his tongue as he slipped his hands down to her breasts and spread the slick soap all across the hard tips and the softness beyond.
She sighed into his mouth, the breath long and so full of need.
He understood and yet just touching her, with nothing else, her skin electric beneath his hands, her muscles quivering, was amazingly erotic and he didn’t want the moment to end so quickly.
Over and over he kissed her, swirling his tongue into her mouth and out to sample the edges of her lips as he moved farther down her body.  That long strong body that had driven him crazy from the moment he’d first seen her in her Army uniform.
As much as he loved the sight of the spit and polish warrior, he’d imagined stripping away that uniform to reveal the woman beneath.
The woman with him here now, even more lovely than he had dreamed.
He groaned with his growing excitement and released her mouth only long enough to mimic her earlier actions and run his hands down her legs and then back up to her waist.
Her skin was flushed from the heat of the water and his touch.  Her eyes alive with passion as her gaze drifted over his body, as intense as her caresses.
“Time to get dry, don’t you think?” he asked because he was eager to finish this where they could really take their time with the exploration of their bodies.
    She nodded.  “I’d like that.”
With a fast dip beneath all the shower heads to wash off the remnants of the soap, they stepped out of the shower and hurriedly toweled down.
Mark had brought in thick terry cloth robes for them.  They slipped into them speedily, the difference in the air temperature and the heat of the shower creating a nip.  As she finger combed the shoulder length strands of her hair, he swept her up into his arms, earning a surprised chuckle from her.
“I never really pictured myself like this,” she admitted and laid her head against his shoulder as he walked with them into the bedroom and over to the couch in the sitting area.
“Why’s that?” he asked and released her legs so she could slide down his body and to her feet.
She kept her hands on his shoulders and peered up at him.  “I’m not the kind of girl guys think of carrying off into the sunset.”
He let out a sharp breath.  “This guy has been thinking of nothing else since the first moment he saw you.”
Color swept across her cheeks, bringing out that smattering of freckles.  “You obviously are mistaking me for someone else.”
He wanted to continue the discussion, but with her tucked close, where he could show her just how not mistaken he was.
He sat down on the sofa and stretched out his legs, took hold of her hand, and urged her to lie in the gap between his legs, her side tucked against his front.  As she settled against him, he parted his robe and hers, wanting them skin-to-skin.  Intending to finish that exploration that had started in the shower, but also wanting to learn more about the woman who fascinated him so.
He laid his hand on her waist and nestled her close.  With slow, smooth strokes, he gentled her, sensing just how uncertain she was about everything that was happening between them.  About herself.
After long moments passed, he said, “Why do you think you’re not the kind of woman a man would whisk away?”
She chuckled and shook her head.  “Because I’m 5’10 and most men could barely lift me much less
