other tonight. I stood up on my tiptoes and kissed his firm and supple lips, and he kissed me and held me to him for just a few seconds. I gently bit his lower lip, tasting the delicious flavor of him, before dropping back down to my feet.
“Hungry, are we?” He flashed me a dazzling smile that showed off his beautiful set of teeth.
With his strong arm s, he held me around the waist and breathed me in. I adjusted his tie and moved my hand down the wonderful outlines of his chest. He wrapped his strong warm fingers around mine, and we walked the short distance to the restaurant just two blocks away under the beautiful summer sky.
Devon seemed unusually calm and collected this evening after the torture I put him through last night. I couldn’t help wonder what he was thinking as he smiled at me coolly.
At the restaurant I told him about my documentary and how well things were going. “Even if I do get in, I likely won’t be accepted until next year.”
“I can wait a year for you , baby. I can wait two.” His eyes were unusually cool, but his face was suggestive and sexy, as if he wanted to tie me up right here in the restaurant.
“Don’t you have to accept the scholarship this year? ”
“The offer is good for this year or next year because of the timing of the invitation.”
“I can’t let you take a year off from school to wait for me.”
“Why not? It’s just one year. Besides, we don’t know what’s going to happen yet. Let’s just wait to see what happens, and figure it out from there.”
Devon had the same cool appearance that he had been wearing all night, but his eyes burned into me like I was dessert.
“If I’m accepted next year , I can join you then.” I buried my fingers in a piece of warm, fresh bread and split it open while the aroma wafted over me.
Devon took the other half from me. “But if you’re not accepted at all, we should wait to see where we’re both accepted. Maybe we would need to take a year off anyway,” he said.
    “That’s what I want , too,” I replied.
“ Me, too. So let’s see what happens and make plans accordingly.”
All through dinner Devon gave me his sexy wanton stare, and I felt my body getting warm from the intensity of his gaze.
“So you’re coming over tonight, right?” he asked with the same calm and cool way that he’d been all evening as we finished dinner.
    “Sure. I can stop by.”
“Good.” He smiled at me and called for the waiter to bring us the check with one wave of his long finger. His fingers wound around mine and he walked me to his home. His mom was working the busy schedule in the evening at the store.

Chapter Nine
~Erin~
Devon brought me inside. He took his jacket off, and wound his arms around me.
He looked at me with all of the intensity of a hungry wolf as his long arm wrapped around my waist.  He took my hand a nd walked me toward his couch, and sat down with me.
“You know , Erin,” he said to me in his deep voice, which rumbled through my body and made me feel hot all over. “You really drove me crazy this week. I could hardly contain myself.”
“I bet you won’t ever forget me again,” I said with a teasing smile.
“That’s what yo u don’t get, Erin. I never forget about you. The moment I was kissed, I thought about you. That’s why I backed away. No one tastes as good as you,” he said, breathing hot on me and planting warm kisses down my neck. “No one feels as good as you,” he said, moving his hands over the curves of my body. “No one does to me what you do to me. You should know that by now.” His voice was commanding, and I didn’t know if he was seducing me or scolding me.
“I know now,” I said in an innocent, almost apologetic tone.
“ No, I don’t think you do. You tortured me last night, and I haven’t stopped thinking about you since. The only way I got through the day was with very intense focus, because any thought of you in the shower would make me lose it very
