Kathy. I could n’t have done it without you, or your sister. Thank you,” I said to my best friend.
“ Wouldn’t that be awesome if we all got into Stanford!” she said with her bright smile that had comforted me so many times over the years. We jumped up and down together like two kids on Christmas morning.
“ God, I hope so.” I said unable to hide the quaver in my voice. Devon and I together for four years.
I went to work after taking off a few days to put the finishing touches on my project.
I entered the lifeguard office, and Devon was already there.
“Good morning.” Devon squinted at me, apparently still not over what had happened last night.
“How are you feeling this morning ?” I snickered.
“I’m feeling rather… tense.” Devon was still eyeing me with hunger mixed with resentment.
    “Why is that?” I teased.
“Gee, Erin. I don’t know,” Devon said in a sardonic tone. He licked his lips as he watched me move toward him. I rubbed my breasts against him and reached for the log book to make my rounds and log the activity for the day. My nipples grew hard through my red suit as Devon eyed me. He was practically salivating.
Devon breathed heav ily and pushed his hands to my shoulders. “This has to stop, Erin. You’re killing me. I can barely think of anything else now except for you. This is just cruel.”
“ Good, I’m glad you’re thinking about me for once. You’re going to have to focus, because you’re on the chair today. At least you won’t be standing up. I can see your excitement from a mile away.” My eyes glanced up at him as my lips twisted into a smirk.
“That’s all for you, Erin. I’m always thinking about you. You drive me crazy. You always have. Now , if you want to play this game a little longer, I can wait. But the longer you wait, the more I’m going to take it out on you later. That’s just the way it is,” he said with a shrug. “Besides, I recall someone rubbing soap on my mouth, so I am officially purified,” Devon said in a mocking tone.
I laughed at the thought of Devon showing so much restraint last night. But it was worth it. It was just a reminder that I don’t share.
    “Just a reminder, Devon.”
“Message received loud and clear. Now can we please pick up where we left off?” he asked with hope in his eyes.
“And where was that exactly?” I said with a slight smile.
“We ’re trying to go to college together? We’re trying like mad to stay together? We’re in love? Remember?”
“Oh, yes. I remember now. You ’re madly in love with me.”
“Yes, yes , Erin. I am. I cannot deny it any longer. I am madly in love with you.”
A satisfied smile curved my lips. He was so sweet when he was pining away for me. Tall and strong, but vulnerable and sweet. That was my Devon. And he was all mine.
“ With that understanding, I’m sure that we can make love sometime in the near future.” I giggled.
“That is very kind of you. How about we go to dinner tonight at your favorite restaurant, and then we’ll take it from there ?” Devon flashed me a salacious smile.
“I look forward to it.” I tried to contain my excitement. Devon was raging with a ravenous sexual appetite at this point, and all wrapped up in the body of a Greek god. He would be all mine tonight.
Devon grabbed his gear and headed for the chair with a newfound spring in his step. I exhaled a laugh and shook my head as he sprang from the ladder onto the chair with one gigantic leap.
~Erin~
Devon showed up at my door looking stunning in a charcoal gray sports jacket, a light blue shirt, and a gray silk woven tie with splashes of blue hues. His usually mussed hair was combed back enough to show off the perfect symmetry of his masculine face, and his dark jacket brought out the brilliance of his green eyes. I felt heat rush through my body and to my center from just looking at this beautiful man who stood before me, and the wonderful things that we would do to each
