teenage girls come around the entrance of the staircase. There was an unexpected silence for a few seconds that seemed to feel like minutes as Aarion and Trinny's eyes meet for the second time that evening. Emma gave her friend a light elbow in the arm and broke the silence.
"Hi. Sorry about kicking you out of the party, but you can't be too careful these days with strangers. Lets start over, I'm Emma, this is my friend Trinny and her mum Mrs. Gaia, now, who the heck are you?"
"Em! Sorry for my friend's.... abruptness, she is just looking out for me. This is all a little unusual and we would just like to know what it is you want?" Trinny was putting on a brave face and going for the calm voice, but she really wanted to be screaming 'what the hell do you want from me?' But her mother always taught her not to use words like 'hell,' and to certainly not scream at people.
"This is Morthos." Aarion pointed in the direction of the Hercules Greek god guy standing to his left. "Garus." Motioning to the slim built boy on his right with dark scruffy hair, Trinny thought he looked like he had just got out of bed. "And I am Aarion." ' He is gorgeous!' Trinny almost repeated the words out loud that Emma just whispered in her ear. She could feel her heart beating a little faster every time she found herself looking into those emerald green eyes, it was like they were looking right into her soul. His dark brown wavy hair just touched his shoulders, and his toned athletic outline was showing slightly through his thin shirt. His facial features were strong but he had a wisdom and softness that looked way beyond his time, he must have been about nineteen years old.
"Coffee's served!" Lucille placed the coffees on a large Jarrah table near a red feature wall. They all moved toward the table and sat on the padded woven cane chairs looking uncomfortably at each other.
"Mmmmm..... this smells good." Garus declared loudly, Morthos gave him a glare that said, shut up . Lucille sat down last next to her daughter and directed her attention at Aarion, as he seemed to be the leader of the three.
"So, tell us why you are here."
    Aarion took a breath.
"We come from Taeith, it is the capital city of the Realm of Fae, and we are the Fairon, bearers of light, protectors of the Ora. Our city was attacked, and the Ora has been poisoned, we only have five days left to save it before the light dies and our Realm is covered in darkness."
"Wait! Fae? Like fairies? And what is an Ora?" Emma was usually the first to ask questions.
"Yes, Fairies, but the Fae is far more than Fairies, there are many magical and beautiful creatures that reside there. And we are not Fairies, we are Fairon." Aarion spoke with a little impatience, he knew it was not going to be easy to uncloak the part of the humans minds that still believed that this was more like a story book than real life, he took another deep breath and spoke with a gentler voice. "The Ora is like our life force, it would be like your sun, but it does not give heat, or light up the sky, we still have the sun for that, but it keeps our realm protected from dark forces, it is also the source of our magical powers, we draw our magic from the Ora. Once the light of the Ora goes out.... so does our magic, and the ability for our realm to defend itself against the shadows that are threatening it."
"Once the light goes out, the magical wards that are cloaking our world from yours will come down, not only will our realm be revealed, but the darkness that will envelop our world will then spread to yours." Morthos added. There was a silence as Trinny, Emma and Lucille processed what they had just been told, Emma was about to speak but
