wanted about her, but for her to say yes was a different story. As shy as she was, he was going to have to go over the lines with her for the advertisement and he had already thought about what she was going to wear. It was going to be something sexy, showing off her body and letting the women know just how lucky they were to be given a chance to be selected as one of his dates.
He had a feeling that he was going to have to do a lot of convincing that she was the right woman. Ken always trusted his judgment when it came to women; he wasn't worried about Ken turning him down. He would want to see her for an interview for sure, but he was afraid that Jasmine just might turn him down and Devon Sager wasn't used to anyone turning him down, no woman had ever turned him down, whether it came to a date or it was sex. He had a big sex drive and no woman told him no. He was afraid that Jasmine was going to decline the offer, the first time that he had been worried about any woman and even though he was nervous, when it came to having the confidence to ask her, to throw it at her and see what she might say to him.
“You have to get her for the advertisement. There's no way around it, you have to get her. She's the perfect one,” Devon murmured to himself, looking at his closed door and hoping that she would come walking into the room with that smile of hers.
Devon finally reached over to pick up his office phone to call Ken. He knew that it was late but Ken would be happy that he had found a woman to advertise for his show. He had no problem getting a hold of Ken. Ken picked up on the first ring.
“I've found the perfect woman to help you out with the advertising. I have a feeling that many women are going to fill out the forms to date me. To have a chance at dating me at least,” Devon said quickly into the phone before Ken could even say hello to him.
“That's great, get it done. I will see you in the morning and we can talk it over more.” Ken didn't want to rush anything. The show was on once a week so he wasn't worried about rushing, he wanted to make sure that everything ran smoothly just like it had been.
Devon hung up the phone without telling him that he wasn't sure that she was going to go for it. His hands were sweating and he felt himself growing hot. He couldn't handle rejection but if she did, he would have to move on quickly to someone else.
“Please say yes,” he groaned as he got up from his chair and opened up the office door.
He was looking around outside the office at the chairs and the large space of carpeting. He saw her on the other side of the big room with the lights on.
“Here we go, there's no time like the present to get this done,” Devon muttered to himself as he stepped out of his office, closing the door behind him he headed towards her slowly.
The closer Devon got to her, the more he wished that he could turn back around and ask her at a later date. He was about to turn around when she looked over her shoulder and saw that he was walking towards her. She thought that maybe he was seeing how work was going but the look on his face was serious and she had to think back over the night to see if she had done anything wrong, if he had looked over the work that she had been doing, then she knew that there should be no complaints.
“Can I help you?” Jasmine asked him, biting down on her lip nervously.
“I have a question to ask you....” His voice trailed off as he took a deep breath and knew that he couldn't back out now that she was looking at him. An uncomfortable silence began between them.
