The Alpha Male Romance Boxed Set
a swig of coffee. She was grateful it was an extremely slow night; she doubted she could handle many customers tonight. She certainly couldn't put on the charm to get them the tips tonight. She was stressed and exhausted and simply didn't have it in her.
"Are they still coming in as frequently?"
Jade nodded. "Yep. Every day. Same stuff. Some woman calls from a blocked number calls me a bitch, hussy, fiancé stealer, whore. I guess whatever comes to mind at the time and then hangs up on me."
"Hasn't it been a month now?" Jenny frowned and shook her head. "What is Alex saying about all this?"
"He tells me to ignore it. I'm having the number disconnected tomorrow and relisted as a private number so that should fix the problem."
    "It's still creepy."
Jade huffed. "Tell me about it."
    Ding .
"Want me to get that?" Jenny asked dropping the dishrag into the soapy dish water.
"Nah, I can handle it." Walking towards the drive-thru window Jade spewed off her greeting and took the order from an oddly familiar voice for a single large coffee.
Opening the window she gave the woman driving a small lime green car a smile, but the smile quickly faded. She didn't know how she knew the woman, but she did - somehow - and she knew it wasn't for a good reason. High school. Nope. She continued to search her brain for the information as she passed the woman the coffee and recited the total.
"You're a fiancé stealing whore, you know that?" the woman spat at her, batting the coffee with the back of her hand and sending it sailing towards Jade, drenching the front of her uniform with the scalding hot brew.
Luckily she'd been cleaning the ovens and was still wearing the thermal apron which warded off the lion’s share of the hot liquid. The woman from the telephone. Oh-my-god, the woman from the movie theatre . The voice and face was clear now.
Jade shook her head and pressed the 'p rivate' button on her headset so Jenny could hear what was going on. "I don't know what you're talking about. I think you have me confused with someone else."
The woman laughed while glaring at her. "I know you've been fucking Alex Kane. He's mine ," she hissed.
"Alex?" Jade blinked. What in the hell is she talking about? What kind of crazy bitch is this?
"And if you think for one instant I'm going to let him go for some fat coffee pusher you have another thing coming."
Fat? Me? Maybe I could stand to lose five or ten pounds but... fat?
"Is there a problem I can help you with ma'am?" Jenny's voice came from behind Jade. While Jade was shy and easy-going, Jenny was abrupt and no nonsense.
The woman looked from Jenny to Jade then back again. "Nah. I think the little tramp got the message." Without another word she sped out of the drive-thru and disappeared into traffic.
"What is going on Jade? Are you alright?"
The confused look still evident on her face, Jade shrugged. "I have no idea. She tosses a coffee at me, calls me fat and accuses me of stealing her fiancé. I think it's the woman who's been calling me, the woman from the movie theatre on our second date."
Crossing her arms over her ample chest, Jenny looked down at Jade sympathetically, "Maybe you need to have a little chat with your man, Jade."
Jade nodded. "Yeah," turning to the polished chrome milk machine she examined her distorted image in the surface, "Am I fat?"
Busting out laughing, Jenny patted her on the shoulder. "Honey, I have more fat in my left ass cheek than you have on your entire body."
Laughing along with Jenny, Jade then released a sigh and removed her drenched apron.
"And hey, I think you might be able to get your answers in less than two minutes." Jenny nodded to the patrol car which was turning into the drive-thru.

"Damn, what an exhausting night. I swear every crazy in Portland is out tonight," Alex groaned pulling up to the drive-thru speaker.
"Must be the full moon," his partner joked.
"It's us honey, can we come up?"
    "Yeah."
    Alex frowned, something
