impossible to tell.

    Playing
it over and over in her mind, she finally smiled and decided if nothing else—it
was progress.

    Moving
into the water and flopping onto her back, she lazily floated in the cool, blue
water.

    Four- Secrets

    “I
came back expecting to find you crying and hurt. You actually liked that?” Brad
asked, all of a sudden right next to where she was floating.

    Startled
out of position, she started to sink and came up sputtering water.

    “Geez!
You startled me,” she yelped, swimming over to the ladder while coughing.

    “Answer
me,” he demanded.

    Brad
couldn’t believe what he had allowed himself to do to her. He hadn’t gone far
after, only into the kitchen where he grabbed a beer out of the refrigerator
and drank it down in a near panicked gulp. He never felt more self-disgust in
his life.

    He
fucked her like she was a blow-up doll. Even when he was with a woman from his
other life, he never handled them that way. It didn’t matter that Jillian had
been torturing him all afternoon. Nothing excused what he had done. It felt
so…wrong. Though she hadn’t uttered a word of protest and she held him so
tight. He was barely able to wretch himself out of her grasp when he finished
in the most pathetic orgasm of his life.

    “Fuck,”
Brad growled to the room, slamming the beer bottle down, nearly shattering it.
“What the fuck is wrong with me.”

    Knowing
he would never forgive himself if he didn’t go and check on her, he went back
out to the pool, his eyes widening in shock when he found her lazily floating
without a care in the world. The look she was giving him now was one more of
annoyance than hurt or anger.

    “Well,
I can’t say I actually liked it. You were so quick I barely even got a chance
to feel it at all.”

    Sitting
on the ledge of the pool, he let his feet dangle in the water while she treaded
next to him.

    “I
thought you’d be mad. I thought you would have tried to stop me. Or kicked my
ass afterward.” He was able to eke out a half smile at his last comment.

    He
would have let her kick his ass too.

    Jillian
thought about it for a moment before answering. “To be honest, it was still way
better than I’ve ever had before. I guess that’s saying something, huh?”

    “What
made it better?”

    After
a moment, and after averting her head to look away from him, she answered
softly, “It felt more real. Like you had to have me or die. It was passionate
and raw.” Her gaze flickered across the surface of the water before she looked
back up at him, “It made me feel alive.”

    Her
words were like a bolt of heat straight to his cock. He shifted uncomfortably
on the pavement to try and hide the tent growing in his swim shorts.

    “You
like it rough,” he stated.

    “I
guess I do. I guess that’s what I’ve been looking for. I’ve just been looking
in the wrong places.”

    “That’s
an understatement,” he said, finally smiling at her with his whole mouth.

    She
grinned back. The tension between them was immediately brought down a few
notches. Brad hopped into the pool and swam over to her, catching her hand and
towing her over to where the water was shallower. Once they could both stand,
he pulled her into a hug.

    “Fuck,
Jilly. I don’t know what the hell came over me, but you have no idea how
relieved I am you’re okay.”

    Jillian’s
wet breasts were crushed against his chest, and he didn’t even attempt to kid
himself into thinking he wouldn’t be taking her again soon, albeit this time
with far more skill.

    She
looked up at him, her face wet and her hair slicked back from the water. She
wasn’t wearing any makeup and looked her typical few years younger than she was.

    “I’m
fine, really.”

    “Good.
How ‘bout we go inside?” Brad said, already pulling her toward the stairs.

    Jillian
didn’t reply, but let him
