prey. And she was happy to be his prey. She leaned against the machine, facing him as he moved and closed in.
His hand landed on the machine just over her shoulder. His other hand traced the line of her jaw. The caress of his fingers touched against her ear, then cupped the back of her head in a slow stroke, completely opposite of her racing heart. She grabbed him by the front of his soft cotton shirt and pulled him in.
“We can’t stay here for this,” she whispered against his soft lips, brushing hers.
“No.” But his mouth sealed across hers. The syrupy taste of sweet coke filled her and she pulled him closer to her chest anyway.
His arms wrapped around her, his chest pressed against hers and she melted into him. Finally was able to fall against him, be pulled against him and be totally, completely, irreversibly swept away. His mouth claimed hers in the same gentle, taking manner that his hands across her back clutched.
All this time, wanting and maneuvering around him, so damn worth it. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down.
    So. Damn. Worth. It.
He claimed as he kissed. Took as much as he gave with each teasing, wonderful swipe of his tongue across hers. He gripped her thighs, lifted her against him so that her legs wound his waist and he leaned her against the ice machine.
The cool metal machine was on wheels and it rolled back.
“Jacob,” she whispered while trying to gasp for air. But it wasn’t enough. His mouth trailed down her neck and to her shoulder. His hands slid under her rear, fingers stroked along the seam of her jean shorts and pressed the hard, unforgiving edges against her most sensitive area.
She arched against his touch. The ice machine slid again. “Jacob,” she managed more firmly. “The ice machine is on wheels.”
He looked up from her chest and blinked at her. “Okay?”
    “It’s moving. I don’t want to….”
A breath eased out of him. Long, slow, and miserable. She knew the feeling. Her legs dropped down his thighs and he held her until she stood before him. Disappointment swelled in the pit of her stomach where desire had been sending jolts of tingling, twisting need through her body.
“ Flora? ” Tonya called from the front.
Jacob kissed her on the forehead and took her hand. “We’ll finish this later. Tonight.”
He tugged, but she didn’t move. He looked over his shoulder and like hell was she letting him get away. All this time. All this teasing. It so wasn’t over. Not now. That line? So crossed. It was time to get naked.
She pulled him deeper into the room, toward the back door. “Or, we can finish this now.”
    “But—”
“You don’t want to?” She stopped at the door, hand on the knob and just waiting to twist. Waiting to see if he was going to turn her down. She wasn’t sure she’d continue keeping up their teasing fun if he said no.
Thankfully, she didn’t have to find out. With a grin, he wrapped his hand over hers and opened the door. “Hell yeah I want to.”
She pulled him outside, softly closed the door and tugged him to the employee parking area. At the back of her truck, he pulled her against him, her chest to his and another toe curling kiss melted through her body and weakened her knees.
He reached behind her and cupped her rear in his hands. “My place is just around the corner.”
Hers was three blocks away. The width of his hard chest pressed against her heavy, aching breasts. Heart thumped like a jackhammer in her chest. His place. Definitely his place. But her truck was right here at the backdoor. She pulled keys out of her pocket. “Get in.”
She hurried around to her side and had her seat belt on as he was closing the door. The moment she pulled out of the parking lot, his hand was on her thigh. Fingers pulled at the fraying ends of her denim shorts. Nerves bundled in a tight ball and she shuddered. His chuckle sang through the small cab of the truck and his hand was back again.
    She cleared her
