please?”
Tristan glanced from Lucas to her, then back to his partner again. Kimber could see the relaxing in his tense facial expression when he appeared to give in to the inevitable. Her heart skipped a beat at the thought of spending more time in an intimate surrounding with this delectable man. The conference room had little privacy with the floor to ceiling windows, anyone in the entire office area could look their way and see straight in. Privacy was not an option.
It didn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that few things could draw two people together faster than highly charged situations such as one found on a mission. The thrill of breaking and entering a private property was a natural human emotion. Fear, heightened senses, sharpened wits and the resultant adrenaline was not just one of nature’s best drugs, but a highly addictive aphrodisiac to boot.
Already they had enough sensual chemistry arcing between them to make her pussy slick with need. Kimber felt certain she would self-combust if she didn’t feel her lips pressing hard against Tristan’s soon. She longed to drink him down like a woman starved.
“Fine,” Tristan capitulated with a tired sigh. Her attention reverted back to the situation at hand instantly as he took charge once again of their plans. “Lucas, make sure you’ve got at least three different escape routes plotted. One of them on foot for Kimber and I to run if we can’t rendezvous at the designated point. If the police are called, likely there will be two groups on foot and a series of cars to block the main roads. We’ll need the side streets and alleys as well as any underground access points we can use.”
“I’ll call the facility and find out their opening hours,” Kimber said as she rummaged in her handbag for her mobile phone. “A few discreet questions and I should also be able to discover what sort of laboratory facilities they have on site. It will be a good indication of how much longer after closing hours their staff would stay to run tests.”
Both Tristan and Lucas frowned at her as she punched in the numbers from the letterhead on the files. She waved a hand to keep them quiet and put on her perkiest voice as the receptionist answered the call.
“Good afternoon,” Kimber said. “I’ve got some rudimentary blood tests that I need done. I was wondering if I booked in to see one of your GPs how long it would take?”
“You’d need to have a regular consultation,” the receptionist explained, her tone and the fast pace of her words indicating she’d gone through this many times. “One of the nurses on staff can take the sample immediately after your appointment. If it’s one of the tests we can do on sight the turnaround time is usually twenty-four to forty-eight hours, but if there are any further tests we usually have those taken care of by a consulting laboratory off site. Would you like to make an appointment?”
“What are your opening hours again please?”
“We’re open from eight a.m. until seven p.m. Monday to Friday and from nine until three on Saturdays,” the receptionist parroted.
“Okay, I’ll give you a call back if I need an appointment,” Kimber replied. “Thank you so much for your help.”
    “My pleasure. Good day.”
    Kimber hung up feeling satisfied.
“They have a lab but I bet it’s a fairly fundamental one. Probably a half-dozen staff at any given time. Their turnaround time for simplistic tests is one to two days, so that means there’s not a regular night shift that I can tell. They close at seven.”
Tristan and Lucas stood up and moved to a large map of London that was hung on the wall.
“The clinic is on the corner here,” Tristan said as he indicated a spot on the map to Lucas. “If we park across the street here we should be able to mingle in the market crowd from here and still be able to monitor people coming and leaving.”
“I was talking to Olasis in the tech department the other day,”
