and Mila gasped.
“I talked to Nicolai about it last night and
he assures me Lucien isn’t like Murdock. He swore to me that Lucien
would never demand sex from us. He also promised me he wouldn’t let
any man touch me.” Stunned, they remained silent.
“I know you haven’t found your mates yet, but
Nicolai said that you are allowed to enter relationships with any
males you might be interested in. You just both have to realize
that if either of you find your mates, the relationship is
over.”
“Delia, I’m so happy for you. But I’m so
afraid. I don’t want to be hurt. We haven’t found our mates yet.
How do we know the males here won’t hurt us like the others did?
Maybe they would be worse!”
“Oh, Sue Ann. I understand your fears. Do you
feel the same way, Mila?” She nodded.
“Have you found males you find
attractive?”
“There are a few, yes.” Mila nodded in
agreement.
“What was it like? Your orgasm?” Mila
asked.
“What did sex feel like when he didn’t hurt
you?” Sue Ann asked at the same time.
Delia laughed and answered all of her
friends’ questions. A short while later, Billy Rae’s delivered
their lunch and they ate happily in the living room.
When Nicolai returned home, he was greeted by
the sound of laughter in the living room. He walked into the living
room, smiling at the females.
“Sounds like you’re having a great time.” He
leaned over and kissed Delia.
“Thanks for lunch, it was great!” He sat down
next to her and set the briefcase on the coffee table. He opened it
and pulled out an envelope. He gave it to Delia.
“These are your credit cards. If you want to
change anything in the house, go ahead and make your purchases. But
no frilly stuff on our bed, unless you’re wearing it,” he grinned
impishly as he wriggled his eyebrows suggestively. He reached into
the briefcase again and pulled out two more envelopes, giving one
to Sue Ann, the other one to Mila.
“That contains your bank account information
and your debit card. Lucien has created accounts for both of you.
Actually, for all of our new pack members.” They looked at the
generous balance statement and stared at him in surprise.
“It’s to get you started in your new life.
The land that once belonged to Lost Souls has been sold at a great
price. He took most of the money and divided it equally among our
new members. The rest he’s going to save for future pack
expenses.”
“I hope you recognize that Lucien isn’t like
Murdock. He wants to see you safe and happy. I realize that you are
skeptical. It’s understandable. Lucien hopes that you will stay in
Last Hope, where we can protect you. He realizes that you may also
wish to move to another pack, in search of your true mate. If that
is what you wish, the money is still yours to keep. He only asks
that if you wish to leave, you clear it with him and allow him to
arrange safe passage for you.” They nodded in agreement.
“Little One, I have a few things to handle
before we head over to Lucien’s tonight. I’ll be in my office if
you need me. Ladies, it’s been a pleasure. You are welcome in our
home, any time.”
Nicolai kissed his mate again and went to his
office. Delia’s friends decided to do a little shopping and left a
short while later.
Delia walked into Nicolai’s office and found
him on the computer.
    “Nicolai?”
    “Come in, Honey.”
Delia walked in and stood near him. He pulled
her onto his lap and she stroked his cheek.
    “Thank you for today.”
“Are you thanking me for the awesome, mind
blowing sex this morning? ‘Cause that is nothing compared to
what I have planned for later.” She laughed, shaking her head.
“I meant, for allowing me to have my friends
over, for arranging lunch, for putting them at ease. You have no
idea how much that meant to me.”
“Sweetheart, this is your home too. Of
course your friends are welcome here, anytime you wish. As long as
it doesn’t interfere with our sex life,
