was sitting on a rock bench, slumped so that she was up to her neck in the warm water, she held her knees tightly together, folded her arms across her chest then said, “Okay, I’m in. Will you go now so that I can take my bath in peace?”
Karn turned back to her and studied her long enough that she began to tremble beneath his gaze.
Then, with a wave of his hand, his clothing vanished.
    As in disappeared like magic.
As in he was standing completely naked before her.
Annie’s jaw hit the water. Oh, heavens above but the man was gorgeous from his ebony eyes to his dark brown hair, powerful arms…narrow hips…even the scars across his muscled chest made him even more exciting, dangerous even.
And oh, my God… Karn’s cock was so thick and so big she was sure it would be considered a lethal weapon in all fifty states.
And then Karn was walking across the room, straight toward the sunken pool, straight toward her.

    Chapter Three

The mixture of emotion in Annie’s expression told Karn how innocent his kitten truly was. His senses told him without a doubt that she had never been with a man before. Amazement, surprise, terror, and definitely desire flashed in her expressive eyes as she stared at his erection. He had sensed that desire the moment he had allowed her to see him through the path opening, and had felt her need in her kiss.
Well and good. If I must have a bride, better that she enjoy me.
Candleflame flickered, casting warm light over the pool and his mate. He scented the air and with his keen senses caught the essence of her arousal blending with the vanilla musk of her skin and the orchid perfume his servants had put in the bath water.
Yes, his beautiful kitten’s desire matched his equally.
Brown eyes wide, Annie pressed back against the bathing pool’s rock wall, her arms folded across her luscious breasts. “W-what are you doing?”
Instead of answering, he stepped into the pool’s warm waters. It skimmed his bollocks as he walked toward Annie, his eyes never moving from hers.
Her cheeks went crimson and she bit her lip and looked away from him. “I-I don’t bathe with men I don’t know.”
Karn eased onto the underwater seat beside Annie so that his hip was firmly against hers, his biceps against her shoulder. She was trembling and all the bare flesh he could see had flushed a lovely shade of rose.
The lust raging through him came as a great surprise. This was supposed to be a duty. He hadn’t expected it to be a pleasure—or to find himself so close to being out of control. He wished to slide between her fair thighs and take what was rightfully his.
But he would not take her until she was ready for him.
He gently stroked the generous curve of her waist, reveling in her well-rounded figure. The fact that she wasn’t skin and bones pleased him greatly. This was a woman meant to make love to.
To fuck, he reminded himself firmly. Not love. Fucking.
“There will be no secrets between us,” he said as he caressed her thigh, almost to her mound, then trailed his finger up her belly, between her breasts, and to her jaw line. “Whether it is your mind, your body, your heart, your soul, you will share openly with me,” he said as he captured her chin.
Annie’s heart beat so fast and so hard she was sure anyone in the mansion could hear it. The feel of his naked skin brushing against hers along with his calloused fingertips on her thigh, was causing a five-alarm blaze to heat up all her senses.
How did she end up unclothed in a tub with the most gorgeous man she’d ever met?
“I don’t understand what’s going on.” She hugged herself tighter as he held her chin and her gaze captive. “I came with you to find my cousins, not to get it on with you.”
He moved his hand to her face to gently trace her lower lip with his thumb. The sensual touch, the look in his eyes, made Annie positively melt. Good heavens but she wanted him. She wanted to reach out and to run
