Just a Flirt
smiled against her neck and planted kisses on her
skin. She cooed lightly at the sensations his attention was causing
her. Her hips shifted and felt the bulge in his pants begin to
grow.
“You should take your pants off. Help me
relax,” she whispered softly.
“No. Let’s just sleep, Eva. You’re
exhausted,” he said firmly. As tempting as she was, he knew she
wasn’t in a position to have sex with him.
“Don’t worry about that. I just need you
inside me, please.” Her voice was filled with ache and desire. She
wanted him to make her forget. She didn’t want to have her mind
filled with thoughts of her mother lying unconscious in that damn
hospital bed.
“Later, I promise. When things are okay,” he
said softly and began to massage her shoulder. “Just listen to my
voice, and breathe deeply.”
The tone in his voice sent shivers down her
spine and the pressure of his thumbs against her back spread relief
over the area. She hadn’t even realized how stressed she was until
the blood rushing to the area to heal her aching muscles. “Okay,”
she breathed out.
He slowly rolled her onto her stomach and
straddled her hips. His thumbs pressed into the taut muscles of her
back and encouraged the crimson life force to heal her mind and
body. She began to take deep breaths from her chest and almost
instantly her mind went blank.
“That feels nice,” she moaned, continuing
her breathing. Everything was disappearing under his touch. The
nightmarish thoughts of her mother were banished and replaced by
the sensation of Andreas’ touch. With each breathe she was able to
release the negativity that had been building up for days. For the
first time in hours she was convinced that everything was going to
be alright. She didn’t have a worry in the world as her body
drifted off into slumber.
When he was sure that Eva had fallen deep
into her sleep, he dismounted her hips and scooted up the bed to
wrap his arms around her once again.
Eva was blissfully plastered against Andreas
on the comfortable king-sized bed. They breathed together as one. A
ringing sound caused Eva to rip herself away from him and bolt
upright to dig into her pockets for her phone.
“Doctor?” she said into the receiver with
worry. “How is she?”
“Unfortunately, her condition seems to be
worsening,” the doctor told Eva. “But that’s not why I’m calling. I
was contacted by your insurance company, and they say that they
aren’t going to be able to cover her treatment.”
“What?” Eva said in shock. “But why? Please,
I don’t have any other options...”
“Could you put Mr. Torres on the line?” the
doctor asked. “I’m sure that I can work something out with
him.”
Eva glanced down at Andreas who was stirring
awake and rubbing his eyes. “No,” she said firmly. “Please let me
know what’s going on with my mom. When can I see her?”
“Miss Williams, I think that you should come
back to the hospital. You can see her now. I’m a little worried
that she won’t make it through the night.”
With a sob, Eva hung up the phone and threw
it aside, putting her face in her hands.
Andreas moved to her side and placed his
hand on her back. “Eva, what’s wrong?”
It was a moment before she could catch her
breath. She turned to look up at him with fear in her eyes.
“Andreas. What am I going to do?”

Chapter Six

Nicole lay in her bikini aboard the large
pleasure yacht. The staff had been bringing her tropical drinks
garnished with colorful little umbrellas for well over two hours.
She was beginning to grow impatient as she continued checking the
time on her phone. Every fifteen minutes, her anger would grow a
little more. The sun was now setting, and she was beginning to feel
pathetic for ever believing that Tyler would show up. When the
ship’s butler replaced her mostly drained Mai Tai with a lovely
Piña Colada, Nicole reached out to grab his wrist.
“Hey. Are you sure I’m in the right
