into you. A few weeks before, in fact. It’s ironic and maybe a sign from someone above that I ran into you when I did.” She looked up at him, her green eyes full of emotion. “I have this bad habit of comparing all men to you - consciously or not. They never seem to be able to make me happy, not truly happy. I tried with Jeff, really I did. But I couldn’t see myself with him forever. We just lacked...I don’t know...Passion. Life with him forever just didn’t seem very exciting. I wanted more.”

He turned his head and kissed her forehead. “Oh, Sam.” He wanted to tell her about Nicole, that she’d never been pregnant. She still didn’t know and he wasn’t sure how she would react.

At that moment, the limo stopped and the driver put down the dividing wall again. He’d have to tell her later. “Sir, we’re here,” the driver said as he stopped the car.

Lance glanced at Sam. Her lips were still swollen from his kisses. He couldn’t wait to kiss her all over. “Ready?” He asked softly.

She gave him a smile that made his heart skip a beat, her eyes smoldering as they looked into his. “Yes.” That one word held so much promise. They were both adults now and knew what was going to happen in that hotel room. He couldn’t get her there fast enough.

The driver opened the door for them and Lance got out. He offered Samantha his hand and she grasped it as she climbed out. Those jeans looked amazing on her but he couldn’t wait to get them off. He felt his cock jump in his leather pants at the thought of her naked before him.

He growled at her, pulling him against her so she could feel his erection. “You look amazing tonight. Just in case I didn’t say that yet.”

She opened her mouth to say something, but the limo driver cleared his throat. “Sorry, man.” Lance mumbled to him and turned to walk inside the hotel, gripping Samantha’s hand tightly next to him.

Once they got inside the lobby, he stopped by the front desk and leaned down to kiss her cheek, “Wait here. I want to check the front desk to see if they have any messages or anything for us.”

Oh my god, she was here! This had not been part of her plan at all when she bought that ticket, but she had to admit she was thrilled. Samantha watched Lance walk to the front desk of the hotel. God his ass looked amazing in those leather pants.

She thought back to earlier, watching him during his show, especially during their song. She’d always. Her nipples tightened with excitement as she imagined those fingers moving over her body like they did over his guitar.

She couldn’t help but laugh when Lance started walking back to her, holding up his room key and a naughty smile. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her against him. His embrace felt amazing now as it did back when they were kids.

“Let’s go upstairs,” he murmured into her hair.

She buried her face into his chest for a minute. She nodded against him, not trusting herself to speak and pulled from his embrace. She took his hand without a word and led him to the elevator.

She was going to let this happen tonight, but would this be it? Were they still too different? Could they even make a relationship work? Her eyes stung as she fought back tears. She wanted to be with him tonight, to feel his lips on hers and his hands on her body. In a couple of days he would go back on the road and she worried they’d go their separate ways again. He was a rock star anyway; there was no way he would want to be with someone as plain and simple as her. Right?

She pressed the button to the elevator and gave him a shy smile. As much as she wanted him, she was so nervous. She opened her mouth to say something when the ding of the elevator stopped her.

“About damn time,” he muttered, pulling her into the elevator. When the doors closed behind them, he pressed his hips into her, pinning her between him and
