regular new patron. Got anyone in
particular whom you’d want me to question?” I asked.
    “There
is one of the Blue Girls…she’s got brunette hair, green eyes and really pretty,
of course. I suspect she’s breaking the rule of carrying on a relationship with
a man outside the Blue Room. It can become complicated when that happens. I
hate dealing with things like this, personnel issues.” Danny almost looked
disgusted.
    I
wonder why he was. He owned the place so why would he feel disgusted with
sending one of the girls to me, as a patron of the club?
    “Something
wrong?” I asked.
    “Nah,”
Danny said, “This really isn’t my thing, inheriting a gentleman’s club of all
things, from my comatosed father. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a prude or
anything since Neve and I have an amazing chemistry and sex and everything, but
actually running a place where it’s unspoken what these men are here for, etc.
etc. isn’t my thing.”
    “But
you’ve inherited it,” I said so you have to deal with it.”
    “Precisely,”
Danny said. “And lucky for me, you’re a friend who fit the type of patron who
frequents this place – handsome, in great shape, values their privacy, is
either very famous and or wealthy that they need confidentiality agreements
signed with all of the girls and staff, and are more or less billionaires.”
    I
laughed. “Sounds like a lot of crock to me, but then again, I’ve been humbled
in my youth, before I became a billionaire in my own right. Helped build up an
empire with my father only to be disowned, and then having to build that up
again.”
    “I
know that feeling. I was almost disowned by mine, the legendary playboy
billionaire Clarence Blue, but he came around, brought me back to the family,
and handed me his empire, complete with a billionaire’s fantasy sex playground,
the Blue Room.”
    “We
sure did not have the most fatherly of fathers, did we?” I said.
    “No,”
Danny said, “But we’re doing the best we can.”
    “Absolutely,”
I said. “Now if you will show me to my room…”
    Danny
walked me across the garden area outside of the nightclub portion of The Blue
Room, to the magnificent blue-tinted glass and chrome building next to it, the
Blue Towers, a five-diamond level luxury hotel that was attached to it.  “I’ll
let Mrs. Walters, know.”

    Danny
left, and a chic elegant older woman, who looked like she could have been a
model when she was younger, walked up to me.  “Mr. Knight?” She extended her
hand. “I’m Mrs. Walters. I’d show you to your room.”
    She
walked me to the elevators and up to one of the top suites. She handed me a key
card and said, “Brandi will be with you shortly.”
    “Brandi?”
I asked, cocking my eyebrows. Sounded like a stage name if there ever was.
    “Yes,”
Mrs. Walters said. “Her name’s Brandi, and for all purposes of privacy and so
that our patrons are protected, you will be Mr. T today.”
    “I
pity the fool,” I said, joking with her. From the stern and blank expression on
her face, I assume the joke was lost on her.
    “Brandi
can explain the rules, since you’re a new client, and if there is anything you
need, just pick up the phone and let us know. We aim to please.” She smiled.
    “I
bet you do,” I said after she closed the door. I was on the job, but I felt
playful, a little lighter than usual. Alright, a lot lighter than usual. I
haven’t felt this cheerful in a long time.
    It
must be the Summer effect.
    Being
around her made you happy.
    It
was so different than the Drew Effect.
    I
had to admit, being around Drew made me laugh sometimes too. Only the Drew
Effect was stronger on women.  He always had an effect on women as a teen.  I
wonder if he still did.
    It
was good seeing Summer and Drew again. I couldn’t deny how great it felt to see
how they’ve grown. It made it the more worthwhile for me to carry out my
mission.

    A
second later, there was a knock on the door. “That was
