middle of those men. “Hey, everybody, listen to me. I
want you all meet my lovely friend here. Her name is Miranda...”
And yes, she began introducing me to them. “She is smart, and
beautiful, as you can see now, and she doesn’t have a
boyfriend,”
“Hey Miranda,” They all greeted me.
I turned to her and gave her my surprised
expression, “That’s enough,” I said. “You’re drank, stop it there
now,” I tried controlling her.
“Who’s drank? You are drank, so you’re the
one to stop there,”
She’s really tough and she doesn’t want to be
stopped. But she forgot she has me who is the toughest. “Elle, I
said it’s enough!” Then I grabbed her hand and carried her away
from them. I heard some protest from the men she has talked with
but I didn’t care at all. Even her is complaining with me. I
hurried her away from the place. When we finally reached outside I
told her to fix herself because we will go home now. I even said to
her to stand on her feet because nobody will carry her there. I
don’t know if she was cooperative enough or she was just scared of
me because she did all of that I instructed her to do. For that, I
salute her for being such a good girl.
We reached home at maybe four in the morning.
She went straight to the bed because she was so wasted. She
couldn’t take it any longer. I was still in control of myself so I
was able to help her. I even changed her clothes. On my part, I was
so sleepy too so after changing my clothes I jumped on the bed too
beside her and sleep.

The ring of Elizabeth’s phone and as she answers it
woke me up. And the first thing that I felt is the pain in my head.
Oh, hangover. And yes, Tom is in the other line. I sat on our bed
and checked the time on the table beside and it is already one in
the afternoon. We need to be at The Big Dogs at four so I asked her
to get up. I stood up and went to the kitchen to prepare something
to eat. But while the thing makes me busy, I heard Elizabeth’s yell
so I went to back to her in a sudden, “What?” I asked.
“What happened?” she asked back as she
squeezes the blanket on her body.
    “What’s wrong?”
Then she had a peek on it inside the blanket,
“Who touched me?” she followed.
I laughed a little, “What are you talking
about?” I replied.
Then she took the blanket away from her, “Who
did this to me?” she said showing me her only panty and bra on. “I
didn’t do it last night,”
I think I know what she meant there, that’s
right, she’s thinking that somebody else took advantage of her when
she was drank. Whoa, she remembers a thing huh. So I gave her
another round of laugh again, “You’d better hurry up there, we
still need to work,” I just said to her.
    “What?”
I didn’t answer and just gave her a nod. Then
I left her and went back to the kitchen. Truth is, I am still
thinking about that man I bumped into last night. I know it’s weird
to do it to someone I don’t even know but I just can’t get him out
of my head now. And I wonder why I didn’t even get his name.
    “Hey,”
    “Hey,”
“So what happened to you last night?” asked
Elizabeth as her sluggishness stretches across the kitchen. “Where
did you go?”
“I stuck around,” I answered not telling the
truth.
She sighed, “Not this time Miranda, come on
tell me now,” she followed.
I knew she won’t believe me no matter what I
say. We’ve been together since we started college and we’re best
friends now so she already knew me. I know too that she knows that
there are still so many things that I hide from her, thing she
respects because she said she loves me and that’s what friends are
for. I smiled with a little sound, “All right, I met a guy
outside,” I just said to her.
“So what about that guy?” she asked next.
“Nothing really. He just drove me back to the
club,” I followed.
She turned her eyes to me, “Drove you back to
the club? Why, where were before that?” she
