you heading?” he asked.
“It’s okay, I’ll be fine,” I said. “Thanks
again,” I guess he understood that. But wait, I guess he’s right, I
don’t know where the hell am I and I could go back to Elizabeth in
no time if I’ll take just one ride on his car. And I think it
wouldn’t be that big deal when in fact he was the one who offered
me first. So I stopped walking and turned back to him, “I guess
you’re right, I’m not really familiar with this place. I don’t know
exactly where to go,” I expressed. Then I gave him a look. And
there he goes. Oh God! Wait. Just one moment please. You didn’t
tell me that he’s…
“Yeah, no problem,” he just said to me.
I didn’t know I was talking to a gorgeous
man. That’s right, he is so beautiful. I mean, he’s good-looking, a
handsome person, and ridiculously hot! I didn’t look at him a while
ago because I think there’s no reason to do it. But I shouldn’t
have done that, I mean I should have looked at him at least. I
didn’t speak after that, because I don’t know what to say. I just
bowed my head down.
“Let’s go,” Then he took me to his car just
waiting around us. He even opened the door for me.
Inside his car, “I’m sorry if you needed to
do this,” I expressed to him.
“What’s your name?” he asked.
I turned to him and he’s waiting for me. Oh
his eyes, they’re freezing me. And that kind of candid look, his
face, oh it’s magnetic too. “Miranda. Miranda Alabama.” I said.
Maybe after twenty seconds of stare, he took his eyes away. Then we
finally left the place. Silence took over us on our way. But
occasionally, I coupled it with my glance to him. Well, nobody can
blame me. And I guess that’s just okay. I mean, I don’t want to
start the conversation even if I want to, you know that right? And
besides, I want to say that what he just did to me was totally
amazing. He just saved my life and now he’s supporting it again.
And one more thing, I want to ask his name too. We stopped at Swiss
Avenue. I didn’t move for a while because I’m waiting for him to
talk. Maybe he wants something to say or what. But I guess I can’t
expect it to him anytime soon so, “Thanks for the ride,” I just did
it first.
He turned to me again and I noticed that even
if I’m not looking. When I’m about to open the door, “You take
care,” he said to me. I paused and there I looked at him again.
There, his eyes are looking at mine too. They’re focused and I
don’t know why. We lasted maybe for about a minute staring at each
other. But I cut it when I finally got off. Then I stood outside
and looked over his window and waited him until he left. That’s
right, without even knowing his name.
I walked my way back to the nightclub. It’s
still loud and alive. People around are growing. It’s already two
in the morning and I have to see Elizabeth before she totally lost
her mind. Inside, people are still crazy. All I can here is the
strong music and heavy shout of the party animals. And of course,
indecent calls from pervert creatures around. For goodness sake why
don’t they just leave me alone?! And oh where is she now?
Incidentally, a different kind of noise
caught my attention. It was like a sound of somebody else is
flirting somebody else. I turned on my right and there I saw
Elizabeth sitting and chatting in the middle of a bunch of men. So
I rushed my way to get there, “Elle, Elle,” I called for her name.
But she can’t hear me because she’s too focused. “Elizabeth,” I
repeated. But nothing happened so I moved closer to them. This time
I reached for her with my hands, “Elizabeth, we need to leave,” And
there I finally got her.
“Hey Miranda. What are you doing here?” she
said to me. Oh yeah, she is totally wasted.
“Come on, we need to go home now,” I insisted
again.
“Wait, what? Come over here, please take your
seat,” She asked me to join her which I did. I sat beside her and
still in the
