tired, and he was so strong. It seemed positively futile. She squirmed against him, feeling his body like a press against hers. She was useless.
Krista decided she would pretend to give in and then run at the first opportunity. It was her only chance. What she would do after, she’d have to figure out later. But first, she had to get away. Sighing hopelessly, she realized she couldn’t outmuscle him, so she had to try to outrun him.
“You have to look different before you come out of here.” She nodded, pretending to agree, and he released his hand from her mouth. “Take off your skirt and pantyhose.” His voice was a hoarse growl which didn’t lend itself to argument.
She gasped, unable to process his words. He wanted her to strip? When she managed to talk, it came out a choked whisper. “Did he see you come in?”
Eye Candy shook his head. “Nope.” Confusion overrode everything else. Was the guy following her a good guy? She should try to get away from Eye Candy.
Trying to hide her fear, she pulled off one stocking, then the other, and watched with satisfaction as his eyes tracked her movements. He was obviously interested in her, physically. Maybe this would be easier than she thought. If she played along, she might be able to use that to her advantage. “So we’re walking out of here like we just had a bathroom quickie?” His gaze snapped back up to hers, and she noticed his eyes were an impossible blue color, but warmer than the officer who’d interrogated her a few hours before. He swallowed hard before nodding.
“Sounds like that will work.” His voice was husky and deep, and something foreign tracked through Krista’s traitorous body and pooled in her panties. Lust. Perfect timing.
Slipping her arms through the sleeves of his enormous shirt, it fell to her knees. “Not taking off the skirt. Sorry, Romeo.”
He removed his hat and plunked it onto her head. With the knit cap on her head, and her hair falling around her shoulders, she looked like a teenager, definitely younger. He grinned at her in the mirror and her heart flopped before he grabbed her hand and tugged her out of the bathroom.
He darted his gaze around, in an obvious manner, before affecting a swagger and slinging his arm around her, dropping his hand to cup her ass.
    “Hey!”
He nuzzled her neck, whispering in her ear, “You just had sex with me in the head, allow me a little post-coital feel.” He squeezed her butt cheek, and the lust that had pooled in her panties earlier started to seep through them, causing her to whimper at the indignity of the situation. She was being taken in broad daylight by a bad guy who was turning her on more than any other man in her life. Krista needed to get away from him. Now.
As soon as they passed a door, she saw her chance at freedom. Seeing the brightness of sunlight, she broke from him and took off running as fast as she could. Her arms pumped wildly, propelling her feet faster. Freedom was within her grasp, though she had no idea what she would do when she got outside the doors to the bus station.
“Shit,” Eye Candy muttered before she heard his feet pounding after her.
Krista hadn’t gotten fifteen feet before his arms came around her and the cold steel of handcuffs snapped around a wrist. She looked down in shock at his hand, cuffed to hers, before he wrapped the arm around her, effectively tucking her into the crook of his arm, hiding the cuff under her free one.
He held her tightly, his hard muscles pressed up against her side, leading her the direction she’d been escaping.
Defeated, she went along with him, unable to break free of a handcuff.
“Please… Just let me go.” Thinking fast, she tried not to imagine where he might be taking her. “Please. I’ll do anything. I have money.” She couldn’t think of anything else, and his lack of answer was disheartening. He was kidnapping her, taking her to Mr. Lowe and that man. Or worse.
    She’d done her best. At
