first sight of one.
They towered over her, as tall as Sorvar or only a little shorter, with their wings held tightly to their backs. Their wings gave her pause with the curved claw at the joint that on some of them reached over their heads. Did Sorvar have those? Tina glanced at her soon to be mate. Yep, he did. How had she not noticed?
She had a strange urge to stroke their deep green rough and irregularly shaped scales, just to find out what they felt like. They all had slanted eyes ranging from bright yellow to almost fluorescent green with long slitted pupils. They were just a little freaky, those eyes. Even though she knew what to expect, up close they still sent a shiver down Tina’s spine, and god their teeth!
That explained why it had hurt so much when Sorvar bit her. They had a mouth full of teeth, not unlike the crocodile she’d seen once on holidays, with prominent canines at the front that sat outside their long snouts.
The Morgath had evolved with intimidation in mind. Every single part of them, even their thick-as-her-forearm tails with the sharp deadly spike on the end and huge four-toed feet with massive claws, were weapons. But that wasn’t enough. No, no it wasn’t. Along with the tails and claws on their feet, they had two-inch claws on their thick fingers. The Morgath males needed no guns or knives. Still, they were all armed with weapons strapped to their thighs and forearms.
Bare from the waist up, they all wore a strange sort of skirt like the kilts the Scots used to wear. With weapons strapped to their thighs over and through the skirts, it was rather strange.
Sorvar dumped her bag on the floor of the quarters he’d dragged her to, pulled her second bag from her hand with a rough tug, and threw it on the floor to join the first. He tugged her back out of the room and behind him down the corridor without giving her a chance to look around his quarters.
Tina struggled to keep up with Sorvar, his long legs eating up the corridor. Was he in that much of a rush? The Morgath’s ship was different from any other ship Tina had been on. Bare wires and cabling ran along the walls and ceiling of the corridors. The floors were metal plating like the other ships she’d been on, and Tina stifled a giggle as an image of the Morgath trying to walk on grated flooring flashed through her mind.
Even the wire cage of the lift as it shot up drilled it into her that she was not on a passenger ship. Tina clung to Sorvar’s hand as her body swayed. He pulled her from the lift and onto the bridge of the ship.
He settled her in his lap after he took his place in the captain’s chair. Tina stifled a gasp when the hard bulge of his cock pressed against her backside.
Sorvar taking his place seemed to be all the indication his crew needed to leave. Minutes later, the ship undocked from the station, and they were on their way.
Tina stared out at the view of space as Sorvar had a short conversation in Morgath with another male. Was that his Second in Command? Then he lifted her off his lap with firm hands and set her on her feet in front of him. Bright eyes filled with delicious intent in their glowing depths stared back at her.
Oh, god! Her breath eased out of her in a shaky exhale.
    “Run, Tina,” he commanded.
Tina smirked as heat scored through her. She refused to make this easy for him.
    “No,” she replied.

Chapter Four

Sorvar’s eyes flared as his wings rustled behind the special chair designed for species with wings.
“You would disobey your mate?” he asked, his voice a deep growl that rolled through her and lit up her insides.
Tina arched one eyebrow and said, “You aren’t my mate yet, handsome, you are just my intended. And anyway, I have no intention of obeying you. If you wanted a meek mate who followed your every demand, you picked the wrong girl.”
A low growl was Sorvar’s only warning. He leaped out of his seat, and Tina squeaked as he ripped her off her feet. He had
