two hours.”
“We’ll be down the hall if you need us. Don’t try to do anything by yourself. Our doors will be open if you need us.”
They each leaned over her a kissed her lightly on the lips. Jenna was going to go crazy if she had to stay here with them. She wanted to tell them to sleep with her in that big bed. Jenna didn’t feel like being alone anymore.

Sometime in the middle of the night, Tyler heard Jenna crying. He ran into her room just as Nick did. She was crying and talking in her sleep.
Nick walked over to her and sat on the bed to hold her in his lap. “Shh, it’s okay, honey. We’re here. It was just a bad dream.”
“Do you want to talk about it?” Tyler said from the other side of the bed as he rubbed her hand.
Jenna could tell by the concerned look in their eyes as they comforted her, it was just a bad dream she was having. Jenna woke up frequently with these nightmares. Sometimes she was able to go back to sleep, but often she would be up the rest of the night.
“I was just having a nightmare. I’m fine now, thank you. I’m sorry I woke you up.”
“Okay, baby, if you think you are all right, we’ll leave you alone so you can get some sleep now.”
“Please don’t go. Lay down with me…at least until I fall back to sleep again.”
“Of course we will, baby, whatever you want,” Tyler said, lying down beside her.
“It’s okay, Jenna. We’re here for you now. Just let us hold you and show you how much we love you.”
Jenna felt herself drift back into a slumber as they comforted her in their bed. She always knew Nick and Tyler loved her and wanted nothing more than to protect her, like they always had in the past. Jenna would love to feel like this forever, but she couldn’t have what she had always wanted.

Chapter 8

Nick lay there holding the woman of his dreams. What brought that nightmare on? He wanted to know what was going on in her head. She always was able to talk to them. Jenna could tell them anything. Nick had felt the need to take away her demons and replace them with loving memories. Nick enjoyed holding her when she slept. What he wouldn’t do to live like this every day with Jenna and Tyler. Nick looked over at Tyler to see he was as awake, too. “She’s beautiful, isn’t she?”
“I wish she would give into what her heart is telling her and just let us in. She has this wall between us, and she is hiding something from us. Do you think that’s why she is having a nightmare?’
“I don’t know. We will find out soon enough. Let’s get some rest. I’ll wake her in a few hours to make sure she is okay.”
It was hard for Tyler to go right back to sleep. He lay there staring into her beautiful face. She was as beautiful as he remembered her being. So many times he wanted to go to California to see her. Tyler needed answers. Why the rash decision to marry Jeff? Jenna wouldn’t do that all of a sudden if something hadn’t happened to her. They always kept in touch with Jenna’s mom. She always kept them in the loop of her life, even though Jenna never talked to them herself. Tyler wanted her so bad. It was hard to lie next to her and not have the feeling of wanting to make love to her. They needed to give her time to heal from the car accident. Then they would set their plan in motion.

The next morning Jenna woke to an empty bed. She felt them sleep next to her during the night. They woke her often through the night to check on her. Each time they took turns holding her. Jenna felt cold in bed without one or both of them there with her. Jenna watched as Nick entered the bedroom with a tray.
“Good morning, honey. I have some breakfast here for you. I have eggs, toast, and some juice to take along with your pills so you don’t get an upset stomach.”
“Thank you. Nick, I am hungry. I can go into the kitchen and eat this.”
“Not a chance, baby,” Tyler said as he brought her a cup of coffee to sit next to the bed.
