explained.
“What the fuck ever, nigga.” Jock’s goofy ass was grinning at me again. “But check it, we good here?”
“Yeah, we’re good. I’m ’bout to make rounds and handle a few things, so I’ll catch up with you later.”
“Aight, bet. I’m about to head out here and go fuck up some muthafucker’s day.”
I chuckled. “You better be strapped. They hate to see your ass coming, Jock.”
“I’m always strapped, bruh. You know that, but I don’t need it. I’ll fuck ’em up with these, if they feel like they wanna try me. On the real, if they like their positions, they better just do what the fuck I say and roll with it.”
“You’re right, but hit my line if you have any resistance.”
“Sure ’nuff, but I won’t. They know what’s up.” Jock stood and adjusted his jeans before stepping toward me. I stood and we dapped and shared a brotherly hug before he left my office. I picked up my phone and shot Nonie a text.
We’re chilling tonight. I’m taking you out.
Talking about Nonie with Jock had me missing her pretty ass. It had been a minute since we just hung out and chilled, and I wanted do something nice for shorty, like take her to dinner or something. I fucked with a lot of females, but Nonie was the only one I did shit like that for. It was cool though, because she deserved it. Lil mama held me down on some real type shit. For now, I had business to handle because this money wasn't gon’ make itself.

    *****
I walked up in Nonie’s office like I owned the shit. I guess you could say I kind of did since it was in one of the properties I owned, but as far as I was concerned, it was hers. Well, hers and Kizzie’s. I wasn't that type of dude. If I did something for you, it was a done deal, and I would never throw that shit in your face. What type of man would I be to handle things like that?
“I know you got my damn text, Nonie. You can't return a message?”
I stood in the doorway watching her as she flipped through a stack of papers she had spread out on her desk. Her glasses were on her face and her hair was pinned up behind her head with a pencil stuck through it, holding it in place. I loved when she did that. The shit was sexy as fuck on some grown woman type shit. Nonie was dressed in a navy blue baby doll dress that I could tell was too got damn short because I could see all her leg and most of her thigh.
She looked up at me and scrunched up her face, wrinkling her cute ass button nose before she leaned back in her chair and folded her arms.
“Actually, I didn't get your text because I've been busy all day. You do know I have a job, right? I’m not in here hanging out just for the hell of it, Siah.”
“Damn, Nonie. Why you going in on me like that? I know you work hard, Pretty.”
Her eyes roamed my body so I returned the favor before I stepped around her desk and planted a kiss on her cheek. Then I lifted one of the chairs from in front of her desk, placed it right beside her, and then sat down.
“You couldn't sit your ass over there?”
I grabbed the seat of her chair and rolled it a few inches closer to me. With a grin, I placed my hand on her knee and moved it up her thigh until it was under her dress and between her legs.
She grabbed my wrist and shoved it away from her before I could do any damage.
“I’m working, Siah. Please tell me what you want and leave, so that I can finish what I was doing.”
Her mouth was saying leave, but the way her teeth dug into her bottom lip and her eyes smiled contradicted every word coming out of her mouth. I let it slide and decided not to fuck with her. Instead, I leaned back in my chair with one hand rubbing my beard, while the other rested in my lap. Her eyes moved from one hand to the other before she focused on my face again.
“Chill with me tonight. Let’s drive over to Manhattan or some shit like that. It's been a minute since we hung out.”
I offered the city because Nonie never passed up a chance to
