on.
    Numbly,
Ebony nodded. Footsteps on the wooden veranda made her heart leap into her
throat but more than anything, it was the fear that these two men would come to
harm that made her tremble with fear. She’d only just discovered them both.
Blake had been so buttoned up and in control. It had taken Walker to open him
up, and Walker had brought them all together. She couldn’t lose them. Either of
them.
    With
a wink from Walker and a look of concern from Blake, they snuck out the door,
closing it behind them. Ebony wrapped herself in the fleece blanket and sank to
the floor beside the bed, trying to fight off the chills. How had this night
gone from being the most amazing night of her life to the most terrifying?
    Listening
carefully, she pulled her knees up and tried to fight off the chills consuming
her. Several careful footsteps sounded in the cabin. Was the person who’d been
threatening her out there? How had they found her? Only some of her household
knew where she was and no one outside of that. Maybe she’d been recognised on
their way up? God, she prayed Walker and Blake would be ok. Yes, they were
strong and well-trained but this person was clearly a psycho.
    The crunching
of glass sounded and there was a scuffle. She released a scream as the bedroom
door caved in with a crunch and three figures barrelled in. The third person, a
dark-haired man Ebony didn’t recognise managed to break free of Walker and
Blake and lunged for her screaming, “Whore!”
    The
flash of a blade sent her scrabbling off the floor and across the bed to the
window. Walker jumped for the guy, wrestling away the knife while Blake tackled
him from behind. There was no way the stranger was stronger than her protectors
but it seemed to her a wild desperation drove him. His eyes were wide and his movements
tenacious. She pressed herself against the window, her eyes glued to the knife
that he still clutched.
    “Oh
God,” she cried as the blade whizzed past Walker’s face in their struggle.
    In
one quick movement, the slender man slipped free and everything seemed to slow
down. Walker grabbed for his legs as the intruder lunged for her while Blake
threw himself in front of her. She screamed, the sound distant to her ears.
Blake seemed to crumple in on the man and Ebony feared that was it. He’d been
stabbed.
    They
all ended up on the ground with the exception of Ebony. She gaped as Walker
plowed a fist into the man’s face. The psycho went limp. Blake rose and pulled
away. He turned to her and tugged her away from the scene, flashing the knife
at her.
    “Oh,
Blake.” She nearly sagged in his arms.
    “Hush,
it’s okay. Walker’s got this.”
    She
peered around him to see Walker tossing the man over and binding his hands
behind his back.
    With
her panties.
    She
would have laughed if she could have done. Blake tugged her against his chest
and his warmth quickly soothed away any lingering fear. These two men had
protected her, saved her. They’d give their lives for her. She couldn’t be in
any better hands and she knew, whatever happened, she needed them both by her
side for the rest of her life.
    ***
    It
was crazy. While the cops questioned Blake and Walker and took the stalker
away, it all came to her. All the words she’d been searching for. It turned out
the guy was simply some crazed fan who’d decided she was better off dying at a
young age and being immortalised. He’s paid one of her PA’s a lot of money for
a pass to the arena and for entrance to the house. The police would be paying
her a visit shortly. But it didn’t matter. None of it scared her. Maybe there
would be others but with Blake and Walker at her side, she’d been fine.
    And
now it looked like maybe her career would continue on. Thanks to them. She
didn’t doubt it was due to their loving, their control, that she felt free to
explore the words that wouldn’t come. Curled up on the couch, with Blake’s
T-shirt on and the fleece thrown over her shoulders,
