because we are of Him and He is in us.  When we find Him, we are saved.  He sent His True Son to teach us and lead us to the light.  The evil that was planted in the minds and hearts of men, rejected and killed His Son, but others heard and followed.  Evil doers persecuted them and tried to destroy them.  They were and are ignorant, but those of us who know can recognize them and not be deceived by them.”
“Then my Master is persecuted and hunted because he knows the Truth?”  Selwig asked him.
    “Exactly.”  Simon nodded.
“Then I understand.  Thank you.”  Selwig nodded slightly and looked down at his bag.  “This false god is persecuting me for doing the right thing.  It is good to know I am not suffering in vain.”
“We never suffer in vain, Selwig.  Our suffering only strengthens us.”
“What can I do for you, Master?”  Selwig pushed the last of his bottles into the bag.  “There is very little need for my healing services.  I am anxious to earn my keep.”
“You owe me nothing but friendship.”  Simon told him and plucked a straw from the floor.  “I am interested in the method you used to heal Jozsef Daniel’s hand.  The golden skin that you made for him.”
“Ahhh.  That was a difficult task considering the urgency and the lack of proper equipment.”   The healer frowned and looked up at the rafters.  “I did my best.”
“I’m sure you did.  I was wondering if you used magick when you made the repairs to the hand.”
“Of course.  Great magick is necessary for such things.  His hand was ruined.  There was no skin left in his palm and the bones were exposed and damaged as well.  Whatever caused the injury was also of magickal proportions and dark, indeed.  It was very difficult to perform the magick under the watchful eye of the Queen.  I would not have her stealing my secrets.”
“Of course not.”  Simon agreed wholeheartedly.  “I would not want to steal your secrets either.  I do not want you to tell me how you did it because that is your secret just as my own talents are my mystery and I cannot share it with others.  But if you were to see him again, could you take back what you did?”
Selwig’s frown deepened.  “I have never thought of such a thing.  Why would I do that?  I am a healer, not a destroyer.”
“I know that, but Jozsef Daniel is no longer who he was when you helped him.  He is a creature of darkness now, but perhaps that is unfair.  Jozsef Daniel no longer resides in his body.  He has been taken over or displaced by a creature of darkness.  This thing that wears his face and uses his voice, and does all the things we might expect of Jozsef Daniel, is not Jozsef Daniel and we must remember that.  If there is anything that you can do to add to our cause in defeating him, your help would be priceless.  We believe that the creature was able to enter his body through the golden skin.”
“I have heard this said and so it may be true.  I have given it much thought and it was also part of the reason I was banished.  My King said that the Dagda told him that I used too much magick and not enough healing, but we were in desperate straits.  I didn’t know what would happen.  I am ignorant in many ways of the workings of the outside world.”
“You did what you thought was right.  None of us are perfect as I have said.  I have made many mistakes.  The main thing is to realize our mistakes and correct them, if we can.  I want to ask you to think on this idea.  We may call on you to help us when the time comes.  We must make amends when we have failed if it is possible.  You may redeem yourself yet.”
“I would be honored to help you and any of my Master’s Brothers.”  Selwig told him.  “I will meditate on this subject.  But I would have to get very close to him to perform such a feat.  It would take great courage and I am faint of heart.”  Selwig lowered his eyes in embarrassment.
    “You may
