swallowed him down, surprised at how different he tasted from Javier. Javier was slightly salty, with the merest hint of spice, whereas Omar tasted quite earthy. She supposed she shouldn’t have been surprised. After all they were very different people, and Omar was a shape-shifter whereas JB was human. But still, it wasn’t something she’d ever thought of before.
    Ramona stood up and kissed Omar, sharing his taste with him, only to have him grab her hard and kiss her deeply, thrusting his tongue deep into her mouth. Then Javier stood behind her, rubbing her back and shoulders gently. Oh wow. Being with two men has some awesome advantages!

    * * * *

    Omar couldn’t help being a Dom. It was what he was, inside and out. Even in his panther form he was an Alpha, a leader, a man who needed to be in charge of those around him, because he knew, without the least possibility of doubt, that his decisions would be the best ones for everyone, his family, his pack.
    Right now their pack was splintered and divided, which may have been why the rogue panthers had targeted them. Well, that and because they had some full-blooded, unmated, female cat-shifters. As well as his puma, Ramona, there was Leticia, a panther, plus two cougar sisters who weren’t twenty-one yet, and Autumn, but she was only half-panther.
    The fact that they had panthers, pumas, and cougars all in the one pack was telling in itself. It was the clearest indication ever that there weren’t very many big cats around. Not enough for a pack of each species to be viable, anyway.
    As a pure-blood panther with pure-blood offspring, Leticia’s father, Sam, had become the Alpha of the pack when the previous Alpha, his older brother, George, had died six months ago. But Sam was so tied in knots with protecting his daughter he had no strength or will left to make good decisions for the pack. Omar was already doing most of the organization. It was only a matter of time before he was acknowledged as the new Alpha. In the old days he’d have had to fight Sam for the role. These days, hopefully, negotiation would be sufficient. Sam had to know he wasn’t a true leader. Omar itched to take the reins and pull the group together, unite them into a cohesive group, help them focus on more than just protecting their women. What the pack really needed to do was make solid plans for the future. Find a place to stay where they could be safe and protected in a community but also work regular jobs to support themselves.
    Ramona was one of the few in the pack with a day job, and although it paid little more than minimum wage, the people at the boutique movie studio where she worked were very helpful and friendly, supporting their staff in everything they did from forming a basketball team to seeking safety in a BDSM community.
    As a builder, likely JB could get work wherever they went. Or they could go somewhere else, leaving the human behind—if Ramona would agreed to do that. But Omar was beginning to think staying here at Carnal Connections would be a much smarter decision for his pack to make. It was inevitable he’d mate with Ramona. And he was coming to accept he’d have to take on JB as well. For a while at least. Then likely he could find a way to get rid of the human. Fortunately, the man was a true submissive. Omar would still prefer to have Ramona all to himself, and he’d be pushing one hundred percent for that result, but she seemed to care about JB, and Omar didn’t want to hurt her. If JB wouldn’t leave them, he guessed he could stand having an extra sub—for now.
    From the point of view of the pack, though, Omar was also thinking staying here would be good. This community had a lot of uncultivated land where a cat could run free. They also had a few stupid wolves, but he could cope with them. He’d soon let them know how inferior they were to cats. And to be surrounded by other practitioners of BDSM would be the icing on top of the cake. Carnal Connections
