head and groaned. “I’ve just had sex in a fancy boutique!”
“So did I,” he sang, “and it was glorious.”
The rest of the shopping trip was less eventful. We finished with a lovely meal and he left me at my front door with a kiss and several bags filled with goodies. He’d got his way and had thoroughly spoilt me all day.
“I’d love to stay,” he said after the last kiss on my doorstep, “but I have to fly to Milan in two hours’ time.”
“Okay.” I nodded. “Well, ring me when you’re back in town.”
“Oh, I will.” He smiled. “Depend on it.”

Chapter Four
“I’m back,” Greg declared. “Did you miss me?”
“Who are you?” I teased him through the phone while I stretched my body. I’d not been awake long. I’d been at the club until the early hours the night before. I was always there late on a Saturday night. I slept in on a Sunday. I looked at the bedside clock—it was just after noon.
“Oh, ha ha. I’ve not been away that long. Can I see you today?”
“Today?” I sat up. “Mmm, maybe. I’ve only just woken up and I have to be at the club tonight.”
“Can’t you have the night off? I was hoping to take you somewhere special.”
“It’s a bit short notice, Greg.” I sighed. I wasn’t going to tell him I’d already agreed to let Taylor watch the club that night anyway. He was coping well and I really did need to spend more time relaxing and less time at work. “Can’t we do it another night?”
“No, it has to be tonight. Please, Kerry? I’m desperate to see you.”
“Really?” I twisted a curl around my finger and giggled coquettishly. I couldn’t believe how young this man made me feel.
“Really,” he insisted. “I couldn’t get you out of my mind. I need to see you.”
“Okay,” I relented. “I guess I can have the night off.”
“Wonderful. I’ll be at your place in an hour. Pack an overnight bag.”
Before I could question him he’d rung off. I dropped my mobile to the bed and sat in shocked silence for a moment.
“Shit, an hour?” I screamed and scrambled out of my bed. I had to get a move on if I wanted to be presentable when he arrived to pick me up. I had to ring Taylor too and I had to pack. What would I need? I contemplated wearing the corset Darren had bought me since it was easily my sexiest item of clothing but I decided against it in the end. I would feel weird wearing it and I knew Greg would go mad if he found out I was wearing a gift from his greatest rival.
I’d just stuffed the last item in my case when there was a buzz at the door.
“Who is it?” I asked, pressing the call button as I shrugged myself into a coat.
“It’s Chester, miss, Mr Stamford’s driver. Are you ready?”
“I’ll be down in a moment, Chester, thank you.”
“Okay, miss. The car is just out front. Oh, and Mr Stamford told me to make sure you’d packed your passport.”
    “My passport?”
    “Yes, miss.”
“Oh, all right. I’ll get it now. I’ll be out in a minute.”
I’d just had a conversation with a man’s driver. How weird was that? And why would I need my passport? Luckily it was in the cupboard where I expected it to be and I was out of my flat within a few minutes. I was lightheaded with it all. I was excited to see Greg and really intrigued about his plans for us.
“Hello, miss.” I was greeted politely by Chester. He took my bag and opened the car door. I didn’t know what type it was, just black, sleek with a leather interior. I knew it wasn’t a limousine or a Mini but that was about as definite as I could get. Cars didn’t do anything for me and like many people in the capital I didn’t own one—the Tube was a much quicker mode of transportation.
“Hey.” I slid into the car and greeted Greg.
Greg didn’t reply, he just leaned in and kissed me. Hard, raw and passionate, his lips on mine aroused a deep lust that whirled around my insides, making me dizzy and quickening my pulse. The driver’s side
