Okay, works for me. Maybe a movie is on HBO. Here let me see.” She leaned forward and her incredible breasts brushed his arm as she took the remote from him. She started flipping and went bright red as she realized she'd flipped to late night cable porn. She forgot Cinemax started the dirty stuff at 10 pm on the weekends. She seemed frozen in place, watching the couple on screen bumping and grinding. Her mouth fell open and the flush deepened, running down her creamy ivory chest.
“ Uhhhh... Want to watch this?” He crunched down on a chip, trying to stay casual, even though he was throbbing. It has been so long ...
“ Uhh, no! No. I... Um.” She was visibly flustered as she poked multiple buttons on the remote. She accidentally started recording it.
“ Gimme that,” he muttered, snatching the remote out of her hand. If he had to watch a couple more seconds of the couple fake screwing, he'd be making real screen time with the voluptuous girl on the couch. God, that would be incredible...
“ Thank you,” she whispered, now clutching her Coke with both hands. He could see her nipples outlined against her camisole top and he swallowed. He found an innocent episode of FRIENDS and they watched that in silence for a few minutes. Her profile was illuminated by the glow of the TV, and she looked completely irresistible. Oh, hell... Forget behaving, he thought to himself.
He slid down the couch slowly in her direction and touched her hand, his eyes dark in the low light. Before she could react, he gently slid an arm around her and pulled her close, touching his lips to hers. She froze like a deer in the headlights. He pressed his lips against her harder, coaxing a response with his warm mouth. She suddenly kissed back, their mouths colliding and tongues tangling. Her hand slid to the nape of his neck, and his hands tangled in her dark hair. She smelled like coconut and tasted like Coke. She saw stars and he groaned as he broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers. “I didn't think I'd get a chance to do that after letting you go at the airport. I'm glad fate brought you back to me.” His breath was warm against her face. Her body was languid and warm, she wanted to take this so much further, but she refused to be an easy lay.
“Me too,” she whispered simply, drawing back and putting space between them. Her brow furrowed as the words crazy old Donna had said clanged in her head. Something good was gonna happen... Could it be Calvin? Her breath caught in her throat and her pulse went crazy as he caught her hand. They sat there like that for a few minutes, watching FRIENDS. “You know,” she started. “It's crazy how little I know about you. I mean, I know we grew up together, and I know about your life 'til you left, but I mean, I don't know what you do in the Army.”
He squeezed her hand. “I'm basically one of the people who makes sure the infantry guys can talk to each other, or themselves. I'm a Staff Sergeant. I get to boss a lot of people around.” He shrugged.
“Oh,” she said quietly. “That is awesome, Calvin.”
“ It's alright. What about you? What have you gotten into since high school?” He stroked his thumb against her satiny smooth hand and she bit her lip before answering.
“ I... I worked at Quickie Burger before they shut down. I was in school up at the community college in Roxbury before Mama died. I... I just never got back into it. Daddy just worked longer hours and we just ignored it all. He leaves me money by the stove to handle bills and groceries, and we just don't talk anymore.” She shrugged, glaring at the TV. He saw her jaw clench, she was fighting tears. “I'm sorry; I don't usually tell people that.”
“ Come here.” He held his arms open and she shifted over and buried her face in his chest, her tears dampening his polo shirt. He simply held her as she cried, stroking a hand up and down her back. “I'm sorry.”
She sat up and peered into his face.
