I'm sure I'll see you soon.”
“ Thank you, Mrs. Davenport. It was such a pleasure to meet you.”
“ Oh, you are kind. The pleasure has been all mine.”
There was a knock at the door and then Brandon walked in.
“ Good afternoon, ladies,” he said.
I couldn't imagine that I would ever get tired of seeing him walk into a room. He was gorgeous. He was wearing a stylish designer suit that formed to his delicious frame. He looked every bit like he popped off the cover of GQ magazine.
“ Hello, sweetie,” said Mrs. Davenport as she gave Brandon a hug.
“ Hello, grandmother.”
“ Did your morning go well?” Brandon asked me.
“ Yes. I think I'm starting to get settled in.”
“ Great. Well, I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I have a late lunch meeting across town. May I steal Ashley to walk me out?”
“ Oh yes. We're finished,” said Mrs. Davenport.
“ Thank you again, Mrs. Davenport,” I said as Brandon and I turned to leave.
“ Thank you for coming by.”
We said goodbye to Grace in the outer office and pushed through the glass doors. Brandon pulled me around the corner. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me.
“I thought of you all last night,” he said.
“ Is that so?”
“ Oh yes. I had to even, well . . . take care of things on my own.”
I pictured Brandon masturbating and it turned me on. I was glad that he chose to pleasure himself. I'm sure he had at least a few Toronto numbers in his little black book. The fact that he was fantasizing about me as he jerked off got my pulse racing.
“I'm expecting that I won't need to do that again tonight,” he continued.
“ I think I can arrange that.” I reached up and gave him a long, deep kiss on the mouth. Tonight couldn't come soon enough.
Chapter 7
Tavern on the Green was such an iconic restaurant. I had seen it in movies. I was happy to be taking in the experience in person.
It was a warm spring evening so we sat at table on the patio. Between the greenery on the patio and being at the edge of Central Park, it was easy to forget that we were in the center of Manhattan.
We decided to go a little more casual for dinner. Brandon was wearing charcoal gray dress slacks, a light blue dress shirt, unbuttoned at the collar, and a navy blue blazer. I had on a black, above the knee, skirt and a light pink blouse. Underneath I was wearing a lacy pink bra and panties. I was looking forward to Brandon removing them later.
“ So, what did you think about your fist day at work?” asked Brandon after we ordered.
“ Well, I don't know if you can call getting my ID and filling out employment forms 'work',” I said.
“ Necessary red tape. It will get more interesting. You have a lot on your plate getting the department up and running.”
“ Yes. I think I became more aware of that today. I'm hoping to gain some clarity on that from the CEO.”
“ Hmm. I suppose he can squeeze you in sometime this week.”
“ I'm serious, Brandon. I at least need to know some parameters around a budget, the hiring process, priorities...”
“ I know. The learning curve is steep.”
“ You could say that.”
“ I'll have Teresa clear a block of time tomorrow and we can flesh out a plan.”
“ Thank you. She seems nice. Competent.”
“ You're welcome. Yes, she is. And, no, I've never had sex with her.”
“ I didn't ask about that.”
“ But you were thinking it.”
“ Maybe. Maybe not. I'll never tell.”
Brandon just shrugged his shoulders and took a sip of his wine.
“My conversation with your grandmother was pretty interesting,” I said as I buttered a dinner role.
“ I was a little curious about that. I thought she might take a special interest in you.”
“ She approves of your hiring me. She also seems happy that we are dating.”
“ I figured she would be. My grandmother is pretty open minded. She also speaks her mind.”
“ Yes, she does.”
“ Oh no. What did she say?” Brandon asked with a blend of
