slight
amusement was back, and it was beginning to piss me off. He was acting so
superior!
    “Then why did
you leave me in that ditch for two hours?” I snarled.
    “You’re
adorable when you’re all indignant, did you know that?”
    “Answer my
question.” I knew I sounded petulant, when all I wanted was to stop talking and
finish what I’d started.
    “Kitten, I was
on a horse.” Exaggerated patience emphasized the last word. “The storm was
getting worse. If I had stayed and pulled you out of there somehow, we would
both have been lost in the storm. I rode back to the ranch and got the pickup,
but it got too bad before I could get us all the way back there, so here we
are.”
    “Oh.” I felt
like an idiot, as well as thinking I had missed out on what might have been
fantastic sex because Russ was so perceptive, damn him. Then he smoothed my
hair back from my face.
    “You’re a damn
beautiful woman, Charity. Charity what, by the way?”
    “Green.”
    His wonderful
laugh rang out. “Green and White. We’re a colorful pair. Well, Charity Green,
does the offer still stand?” His big hands began to stroke me, and one thumb
drifted forward to flick against the side of my breast, causing me to catch my
breath abruptly.
    “Can you
really read my mind?” I asked, half afraid that he really could and breathing
even harder as his thumb circled my nipple.
    “I can read
your face,” he said, lifting his head to kiss me. “I can read your body’s
heat,” as he cupped my breast fully. “I can read when a woman wants me, and I’m
pretty sure you want me. If you don’t have an ulterior motive, I’m all yours.”
    My pulse had
started racing as soon as his thumb stroked me, and by the time he took my
breast in his hand, I was in full gallop. Maybe I was naive, and maybe I was an
idiot, but right then, right there, I could think of nothing else but having
this man’s hands all over me and that gorgeous cock inside. I melted all over
him and opened my lips for him to plunder. He was all mine? I was all his. At
least for now.

Chapter 5
    While the
blizzard raged outside, we raised the inside temperature of that cabin to near
combustion levels. Other than a few encounters with teen-aged boys, who were
eager but not skilled, I was very inexperienced. It was pretty clear to me,
though, that Russ was an expert and then some. He took control almost from the
start, pinning me where he wanted me and running his hands over my body as I
shivered in anticipation. After a kiss that lasted forever and brought me to
the brink of something I sensed was incredible, he took my face in his hands
and gazed at me once more. His expression was more tender than lustful, and it
did powerful things to my insides.
    “Do you trust
me?” Speaking softly, he ran his thumb over my lips. His eyes on my lips sent
spikes of passion through me, and made me think I’d like him to bite them. I
swayed toward him, my eyes half closed in silent invitation.
    “I guess.”
God, I wanted to trust him. I didn’t understand myself. Maybe the hypothermia
had caused some brain damage. I no longer cared whether he was a good guy or a
bad guy. I just wanted him to keep pretending he cherished me and to fuck me,
long, hard and thoroughly.
    “I’m going to
teach you about your body, Kitten. Since you don’t trust me completely, yet,
there are things we won’t do for now. But the more you relax and trust me not
to hurt you, the better you’re going to like it, I promise.”
    I wanted to
protest that I did trust him completely, but it wouldn’t be the truth, and
worse, he’d know it. I didn’t really trust anyone, not after the way my life
had gone so far. Russ was still a stranger, and still the only man who
had ever touched me intimately, other than the spankings I received from the
Prophet. Though I sensed that those were sexual for the Prophet, and though
they gave me strange tingling at my core, I didn’t count them. There was something
sleazy
