married?”
Sven bowed again. “Nay, the king would only be obliged to marry you if you become pregnant with his child.”
“Ha! I’m protected against pregnancy, I have a patch…” She searched the soft skin of her inner arm where her contraception patch was situated. “Where the hell is it?”
Marcus answered her. “I believe the patch was damaged because of your injuries. The physicians attempted to reattach it but it was impossible.”
Douglass frowned as she mentally tried to recall her monthly cycle. She couldn’t get pregnant from one night, could she? Dammit , she had the first time.
“So consort means I’m some kind of a disposable wife?” Her attempt at sarcasm seemed to be lost on the men.
“If that is the correct terminology used on your planet then, yes.”
Douglass glared at Marcus. “And for how long am I supposed to be this consort person?”
Harlan looked confused. “For the rest of your days, or until the king grows tired of you. It is a great honor.”
Douglass walked over and poked Marcus in the chest. “Grow tired of me now. I have a life on another planet. I have a job. I can’t stay here!” She realized she sounded shrill.
He smoothed his hand down her arm. “You can’t go anywhere until we fix your ship or contact your people. Perhaps you might consider staying and enjoying what I have to offer you until that moment comes.” He stared into her eyes. “I would consider it a great honor to make love to you until then.”
Her body melted at his sensual tone. She could stay here and enjoy the attentions of four men. One of whom was the greatest lover in the universe or sit alone in a hotel waiting for her world to contact her. Marcus stroked her breast. Her nipple hardened.
Douglass looked him in the eyes. “Do you promise to let me go?”
“I would rather wait until your ship arrives and you can make your decision then.”
“But you wouldn’t stop me if I decided to go?”
He sighed. “I swear I will not stop you. Is that answer sufficient to stop you pestering me with questions?”
Douglass grinned at him and turned to Sven. “Where’s the bath?”

As she lay in the bath, which was more like a small swimming pool and could easily fit four adults, she contemplated Marcus’ words. He had been quite insistent about her asking him to make love to her. She should’ve realized there were different cultural implications to what he’d meant. They had gone on about that at the Space Academy at great length.
Despite her worries about Danny, Marcus was right. She wouldn’t be here very long and she had his assurance that she could leave when she wanted to. At least she knew her son was loved and well cared for. Despite having never met his father, Danny was a happy child who thrived in the company of others. At five, he had no real concept of time. She smiled at the thought. She might get back and find that he hadn’t even missed her. There was nothing she could do to hasten her departure so why not enjoy herself? She’d worked hard to support her family for the past five years. Maybe she was due a vacation.
Harlan soaped her breasts as Bron washed her hair. She relaxed into their hands.
“I wasn’t sure I would get to see you guys again after last night.”
Harlan cupped his hands and trickled water between her breasts. “Why would you think that? We were chosen to serve you. We bear your mark.” He took her hand and wrapped it around his cock where she could feel the curved edge of his cock ring.
“You don’t have to wear that all the time, do you?”
He smiled as his cock grew between her fingers. “Only when we are with you. Usually we will not all be with you together. We take shifts so that you are cared for night and day.”
Douglass frowned as Bron lightly kissed her shoulder. “But doesn’t the king mind?”
“Why should he? He chose us personally to care for you. We consider it an honor.”
    “That’s the bit I don’t understand.
