a familiar “hello” answered on the other end. A breathless Vicky took a deep breath and responded “Hello.  I’m sorry I missed you this morning. Oh…..and thank you for the wonderful breakfast.  Angel and I are stuffed”. A smiling Jason responded “No need for you to be sorry or thank me for breakfast.  We had a pretty exhausting night. If I did what I was supposed to do I figured you’d be plenty hungry this morning.  Anyway, I wanted you to get some rest.  I didn’t want to leave but I had to take care of some things here. I take it you are just now opening the box.”   Although Jason couldn’t see her Vicky was furiously blushing.  She looked over at the box on the cart “Yes I am.  What’s in here?” Jason took a deep breath and hoped Vicky would go along with this crazy idea.  He didn’t know what he was doing.  He just knew he wanted to do it.  So, he did “Well, the cell phone that you are speaking on is yours.  I noticed you didn’t have one and I’d like you to be able to call me anytime you need anything.”  Vicky was getting tense.  She didn’t want him giving her things and was all set to protest but Jason rushed on “before you say no, I’d like to be able to keep in contact with you as well.  This phone is more for me than it is for you” Vicky relaxed but just a little “JK, you didn’t have to do this.  I have a phone at home.  I can’t really afford a home phone and a cell phone” Vicky didn’t realize it but Jason was about to do some heavy duty spoiling.  He’d just realized it himself.  Most women asked for what they wanted but that didn’t seem to be Vicky’s style and it made him want to do things for her even more.  “Vicky, I didn’t ask you to pay for the cell phone.  I want you to have it.  I’d like to be able to talk to you whenever you’re available so it’s only fair that if I want you to have the phone I should pay for it.  I’ve programmed all of my telephone numbers in it so anytime you need me you should be able to reach me.” Vicky smiled to herself thinking it can’t be too bad to let him do this for her especially since the take away was he wanted to continue to talk to her.  Hopefully, last night wasn’t an end.  It was the beginning. “Now, the second item in the box is a set of keys.  They are the keys to my rental car.  Before, you get all proud and start protesting, remember I wasn’t supposed to be flying out of there until Monday morning.  I’d already paid the bill just like with the hotel. It would have been a waste of money to turn the car back over to the rental place when you need transportation.  Please take advantage of not having to take the bus.  Everything at the hotel that you want or need has been paid for and I mean anything that you want just charge it to the room.  I saw some really cool toys in one of the shops at the hotel that Angel might like and maybe you’d like to get a massage or something.  Whatever it is you girls like to do, do it.” Before Vicky could tell him she couldn’t accept his gifts he claimed he had an important business call coming through on his other line “Vicky, I’ve got another call coming through that I have to take.  I’ll call you later this afternoon” and just like that Jason hung up.
Vicky didn’t know what she was going to do with herself.  Well, yes she did.  She was going to take Jason’s advice and order herself a massage.

Chapter 7
Jason disconnected the call with Vicky before she had a chance to tell him she wasn’t going to accept his generosity.  He really did have another call coming through though.  He answered the call before checking the caller i.d.  It was Bridget.  “Jason, you’ve finally answered your phone.  I’ve been calling you for the last few days.  Where have you been? I guess you were too busy to call your girlfriend.” Jason had just made it into the house from the airport.  He couldn’t wait to call
