what he said. I left out the part about him being a vampire, and tying me naked to a tree in the woods of course. She would have me locked up in an asylum if I told her the vampire thing.
Ellen is shocked and speechless. She had been wanting to scream and yell at me, bitch at me for making her worry and not acting like myself. Now, she is just totally and utterly stumped. She doesn ’ t know what do say. “ Vicky … I … I … well … I ’ m not sure what to say to you. You always think things through and if you think you love this guy … well … than … than I guess I will support you and I won ’ t bitch at you for being M.I.A all freaking day. Don ’ t let it happen again though. ”
We have been on the phone for more than an hour. We are both crying, but crying tears of happiness and joy. “ I ’ m so glad that you found him Victoria. You deserve more than anyone to be happy, you deserve the best. Now, when do I get to meet this man, the love of your life? ” I tell her that I will discuss it with Lliam tomorrow and let her know a date and time. “ For now though, Ellen, I have to go. Mom and Lianna blew up my phone to. ” we both laugh and say our goodbyes.
First, I call Lianna. I decide to save my mom for last because she is going to be a little worked up. Lianna, I think will be excited for me. When she answers her phone she sounds relieved that I am ok. Ellen must have told her I ’ d be laying dead some where and freaked her out. She can be so gullible at times. Once I tell her about the lunch we had, and that he said he loves me and I love him to, Lianna shrieks with excitement. She wants to start planning a wedding. I told her it would probably be a while but I ’ d make her a part of the wedding. I don ’ t think I would want her planning it, but she could be one of my bridesmaids.
Now Ellen and Lianna are out of the way. Time to explain to my mother. I haven ’ t spoken to her since I met Lliam. She must know that something is going on because I usually talk to her everyday. That is probably why she called me so many times this afternoon. I dial my mother and she answers on the first ring. “ Hey momma. ” I call her momma when I am sick or when I have to tell her something that I think she is not going to like. “ Hey, umm …” “ Spit it out Victoria! ” “ Well, I met a man. A … a very wonderful man to be precise. His name is Lliam Mackey. ”
Mom is taken by surprise. It has been almost four years since I have said anything about a man, let alone a very wonderful man. She starts asking me question after question. Does he have a job, what does he do, does he have kids, what kind of car does he drive, where does he live … etc. I answer all of her questions to the best of my abilities. Now, it is time to tell her that we love each other. “ Mom, he said he loves me … and well … I love him to. ”
She doesn ’ t seem to happy about that, she probably thinks it is to soon. There is no way for me to describe how I know I love him back. Even if I could put into words they way he makes me feel, she would never believe me. I would probably sound like some nut job who can ’ t find a boyfriend making up a story about some random fancy dude. She tells me that I need to phone my dad and see what he says about it. I think I will wait on that one though. If I tell me dad, he will rush down to meet Lliam and I am not sure that I am ready for that one yet. At least not right this minute I am not. My decisions change so much lately, maybe tomorrow I will be ready.
After my phone calls, the night drags on. I can ’ t sleep. I want Lliam so bad. I want to lay in bed with him, to hold him, to feel his flesh on mine. I want to tell him that I love him to. Since I can ’ t sleep, I decide to run a
