    I raised my brows. "To sleep?"
    "If that's what you'd prefer."
    "No, I wouldn't prefer that."
    "Good. I was hoping I hadn't worn you out yet."
    I was glad he hadn't too. I wanted to experiment some more.
    "I have a family thing tomorrow," Dane said. "But I can't think of anything that would make my Christmas merrier than coming back here afterward and watching Rudolph with you while we have hot chocolate and leftover desserts—my mom always sends me home with plenty."
    "I… You want to come back? Tomorrow?"
    He nodded. "Yeah, I do. Unless you don't—"
    "No. I'm just trying to take this in. You're the only real Christmas present I've ever received."
    His cheeks turned pink. "I'm honored."
    "Thank you for not giving up on me."
    "I never give up on a Christmas wish."
    He kissed me then, and there was no more doubt in my mind. I was having a holly jolly Christmas at last.
