    The Jeep was still waiting on them when they went downstairs ten minutes after dawn, and Riley arched a brow as he passed Sam and Roxanne entwined in a passionate kiss. They broke apart and Sam had the look of a man who’d spent a very pleasurable night with a woman, and he looked just as exhausted as Riley felt.
    Sam broke away from Roxanne and headed in their direction.
    “Good morning, Sam,” Maggie said. “You’re looking a little rough around the edges this morning. I think I’ll grab a couple of bottles of water and some aspirin before we leave.” She walked away and left the two men alone.
    “It’s none of my business what you do in your personal life,” Riley said. “But that girl is not coming back to the dig site.”
    “Nope,” Sam said, grinning. “I got her to agree to catch the first flight back to the states this morning. She was going to come back just to spite you. She’s a little vindictive. You’re damned lucky I intervened.”
    “I can see that,” Riley said, shaking his head. “Thanks for making the sacrifice.”
    “I do what I can for the common good.” Sam’s grin widened. “And between you and me, once she stopped talking she was a fucking wildcat in bed.”
    “Jesus, she’s probably fifteen years younger than you, Sam.”
    “It’s not like she was a virgin, and she’s over twenty-one. Besides, she made the first move. It’s not like I’m going to turn her down. She practically had my dick in her mouth before I realized how fast things were escalating. What was I supposed to do?”
