the room and up to the counter where he knew the vampire sat.
“Look, vampire,” he hissed from behind, making him spin around to look at him.
“What, doggie? I’m not in the mood to play tonight,” the vampire said low.
Tyler snarled and before he could control it, slapped the drink out of the vampire’s hand. The vampire looked at him, his eyes turning red as his fangs lengthened in his mouth. Tyler stepped back when the vampire stood. He knew that at this stage, he didn’t have all his strength, but being so close to the full moon, he could take down a vampire.
    “You owe me a drink.”
The waitress looked nervously at him before running off. He knew she was going to get help, but he didn’t care.
Tyler pushed his limits, wanting to fight with the vampire to get rid of some of the aggression built up inside him. He pushed the vampire in the chest, making him stumble for a moment.
“Now, you are one dead pup,” the vampire snarled, then charged him.
Tyler took his stance, ready to fight.
“Hey! What the hell is going on up here?” The voice of another vampire made both of them stop their movements.
The other vampire walked between them. Seconds later, two other vampires with Bouncer written on their shirts made their way up to them.
The vampire he incited jumped at him again.
“Do it, you undead bastard, and I’ll tear your throat out.”
“Try it and I’ll pick my teeth with your bones.”
“God dammit, hold on!” the owner yelled.
The bouncers grabbed both of them, pulling them apart.
“Ian, what the fuck is going on?”
The one he provoked, the one called Ian, snarled at him before looking at the other vampire.
“I don’t know, Logan. I’m here drinking, and this wolf decided to come up and knock my drink out of my hand. He’s lucky I didn’t tear his throat out.”
“Lucky! Lucky? Only one who’s lucky is you, vampire. You have your friends here to save you. If we were outside, I would pull out your fangs myself.”
“Wolf, give it a rest,” Logan told him. “Is it true what Ian says?”
Tyler took a deep breath. He tried to release himself from the vampires holding him, but to no anvil. “Yes. Tell this vampire not to use his mind control on my girl.”
“What the hell are you talking about? I didn’t use any mind control on anyone.”
“Yes you did,” Tyler snarled, then charged at the vampire again, but the bouncer held him at bay.
“Logan, this wolf is crazy. I didn’t use any mind control on any woman. I don’t have to use mind control to get a woman’s attention.”
Tyler pulled away from the bouncer, then lunged at the vampire. He was snatched up again before he could make contact.
“Tyler!” Kayla’s voice stopped him in his tracks. “What are you doing?”
Everyone turned to Kayla at the sound of her voice. Tyler didn’t know what to say to Kayla. He couldn’t tell her that he was trying to beat up a vampire for using mind control on her. But there was no other way to explain what happened earlier to Kayla. Vampires were sneaky bastards who lured women to them to drink from them. This vampire had to know that Kayla was untouched and he wanted her blood, her virgin blood. There was no way in the hell he would give her to him. No matter what he had to do, he would protect Kayla from him.
“Nothing,” Tyler snapped, then snatched away from the bouncer.
Kayla placed her hand on her hips. “Doesn’t look like nothing to me, Tyler.”
Kayla sighed, then walked up to Ian. Tyler watched them closely. Kayla looked into the vampire’s eyes, her first mistake because he could take over her mind. She smiled at him, which sent anger flowing through Tyler. He clenched his hand, ready to launch at the vampire for making her do his will. He had to be mind-controlling her, as there was no other explanation.
“Sir, can you tell me what’s going on here?”
When the vampire smiled back at Kayla, Tyler wanted to change to wolf form and rip his
