tasted blood. Moaning and
fucking her as hard as he could, he moved to her shoulder and licked along the
muscle there.
“Bite me. Christ, do it so I can fill
you.” Her mouth slid across his shoulder. When she licked him, her hot tongue
tasting him, he felt his cock spilling into her. Pulling her to him and burying
her face into him, he felt her sink her teeth into him. He roared out his
release, and then took her throat.
She screamed, and he felt her come again
and again. When she dropped her arms, he licked the wound closed and took her
though another climax before his body couldn’t move again. When he rolled over,
he took her with him.
“You’ll have to lick the wound, love. If
you don’t, it won’t seal.” Her tongue lapped across his shoulder and he felt
his cock stir. He wasn’t sure if he’d live through another climax.
“I guess there’s nothing wrong with me
when it comes to having a climax.” Alistair laughed and lifted her chin to look
at her. “That was amazing.”
He reached for a blanket and pulled it
over them after kissing her gently on the mouth. It occurred to him at that moment
that he’d not kissed her. Lifting her chin up again he kissed her, gently and
softly before letting her lay back down.
“Now behave or I won’t be able to move
again. You’ve completely worn me out.” She giggled and he thought that he’d
give anything in the world to hear her do that again. “When we wake up, I’ll
make you a proper dinner. Then, we’ll come back up here and see if I can give
you a better adjective than ‘amazing’ to say about the best sex I’ve ever had.”
She giggled again and he held her until
he was sure she was asleep. When he slipped out from under her he tucked her in
and went to his office. He had to make some calls to get this thing with her
ex-husband settled. The man was going to have to see that the better man won. The
first person he called was his brother, Keith.
“I need you to run a check on a Lance
Isaac. He’s an attorney. And then a check on Allyson, his ex-wife.” Keith asked
him if this was about his mate, and he told him it was.
“Good. You know that I’m happy for you
and all, but you do realize that it’s like four in the morning, right?” Alistair
looked at his watch and apologized. “No worries, but you owe me. And I want you
to introduce me to her not as the ‘geek’ brother but as the professional
computer programmer. I’m sick of being called the geek.”
“Done. So long as you know that as soon
as she meets you she’s going to know you’re a geek. Perhaps you should not
carry a laptop with you everywhere you go and try to find a conversation that
doesn’t mention terabytes and band waves. Unless it’s about an actual band,
which I’m pretty sure you would know about, too.”
“Yeah, yeah bite me, you asshole. Are
you going to be up for the rest of the night?” He could hear the clicking of a
keyboard as Keith started on the project. “I might have a question or two to
ask you, and I wouldn’t want to disturb you guys.”
Alistair looked at the ceiling above him,
knowing that she was in his bed sleeping. But for as much as he wanted to join
her there again, he knew that this was important, too. He told Keith he’d be
up. After hanging up he called the chief of police and talked to him about the
murders at the courthouse.
“I’m telling you this because you’re my
friend and I like to run with you. But first, did you and Brock come into the building
after hours the other night? The reason I’m asking is because I could smell you
in places you guys don’t normally go.” Clifton Slone was a werepanther and his
close friend. “And if you did, I don’t suppose you found your girl did you?”
“Off the record?”
“Yes.”
“Then we did. Why? What did you find
out?”
“Nothing but that she was hiding away in
the sublevels and that there was blood there. Then I got yours and who I
thought was Brock’s scent.” He
