few pictures together at a couple of the main attractions. Their own attraction kept leading them back here. Now that they were heading home, she wondered how it would all fall into place—work and chores and meals and all the other mundane things they’d escaped for a while. This whole trip had been like a dream, but reality was starting to creep back in.
“It will all work out.” Quinn turned on his side so he could stroke her hair.
Warmth curled inside her and made her smile. “How did you know what I was thinking?”
He shrugged. “I’ve thought about it too. I figured maybe cold feet would finally set in, but I’m okay. It doesn’t matter where we are, as long as we’re together. You and I aren’t going back to our old lives. We’re starting a new one, remember? We’re returning to our brand-new home, where I can start making love to you on every available surface.”
“Shameless. I’m scandalized.” She paused a moment before letting her anticipation show. “Every surface, huh?”
He laughed and rolled her into his arms for a kiss. That got her blood boiling again, but she broke away before they could miss their checkout. Popping into the shower, Xindra quickly cleaned up and got dressed while he followed suit. Although she was decent by the time they walked down to the main desk, she knew she still looked like a woman well used. Her lips felt swollen from Quinn’s kisses, and she had hickeys all over her neck, not to mention more interesting places. Lucky her, she’d just gone and married the best lover she’d ever had.
“Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Phlyx-Nigel,” the hotel lady told them. “I hope you enjoyed your stay.”
“Immensely.” Xindra exchanged a woman-to-woman smile that had the other female grinning and blushing as well.
With everything settled, they headed to the nearest transport to begin their homeward trip. Quinn managed to snag them a couple of window seats on the hover tram so they could snuggle. She couldn’t seem to keep her hands and lips off him, although she was aware they were inspiring titters from a group of teenagers a few rows away.
On purpose, she waited until they were about fifteen minutes from their doorstep before leaning close to whisper in Quinn’s ear. “So what surface do you want to try first?”
His eyes flashed with feral hunger, and the arm he held her with flexed. “So many to choose from.”
    “The bed is traditional.”
“We’ll never make it that far.”
    “The bedroom floor then?”
He shook his head, but his gaze never left hers. “First, I’m going to rip your clothes off and take you against the door.” He slid one hand slowly down the outside of her arm. “Then I’m going to drape you over our new couch and stroke in and out of you until you’re mindless with need.” Running his palm up to the side of her neck, he pressed so close that his lips fluttered against hers with every syllable. “Finally, just when you think I can’t possibly take you any more deeply, I’ll lower you to the floor and pummel you to within an inch of your life. You’ll be screaming for mercy, letting all our neighbors know we’re home.”
Her breath left her on a sigh, and she felt like she was sitting in a warm puddle. She liked the sound of all this, but two could play at this game.
“I have a counter offer. You can take me against the door, but I picked out the couch. I’ll drape you over it, lick every inch of your body, and then ride you until you can’t see straight. We’ll wrestle on the floor, sweaty bodies sliding together, until one of us winds up on top. Either way, I’ll do you until you bellow so loudly the neighbors think I’m killing you.”
His eyes weren’t just ravenous now. They turned savage. She teased him with only the barest peck on his lips before settling back in her seat as if she wasn’t about to die from arousal. Even the subtle vibration of the tram was sending ripples through her channel into her womb.
