stay here in the apartment with you until right before the tour.” It touched his heart. It really did. Unfortunately, his new plan involved seducing Harmony in this apartment and he couldn’t very well do that with his little sister, and by the looks of it, Foster in the next room.
“That’s crazy Dagney.” He rubbed his forehead. He really wanted to sleep in the worst way right now. “Let’s just sleep on all this tonight. It’s been a long day for all of us.”
“I think it’s just been a long day for us, mate. I suspect she took a nap earlier.” Foster gave Dagney the stink eye. The guy was obviously tired and only sitting on the couch because she was still awake.
“I…might have.” Dagney smiled at Foster.
Bruce realized deep down he was happy for them. He might have been counting on his little sister too much for the transition from one way of life to another. Without football, he felt a little bit lost. Only tonight, with Harmony, he didn’t feel lost at all. He felt…whole somehow.
“I need to get some sleep,” he said and rubbed the silky material of Harmony’s panties between his fingers. He could barely wait to see her again. “Maybe we could grab breakfast.”
He put his hand on the top of her head and rubbed it side to side to scruff up her hair. “Goodnight, Dags.”
“Thank God.” Foster was up on his feet.
She closed her eyes in defeat.
He got a few steps down the hall and thought, “Maybe you could invite Harmony for breakfast. I mean she does have a broken arm. It’s not like she can cook. I at least owe her breakfast.”
“Yeah, that sounds like a nice…Bruce.” He stopped. He heard Foster curse before he simply headed off to her bedroom not waiting any longer. “How do you know her name?”
“I asked. I took her flowers.” He admitted, but still didn’t turn to face Dagney. “She lives in the same complex. Did you know that?”
He could feel the tension in his back. He wasn’t sure what he was thinking asking her to do that. He wasn’t thinking. He was acting on impulse alone.
“I did know that.” Dagney took a few steps down the hall towards him. “What color are those underwear?”
“I didn’t really look.” He was caught.
“Bruce!” Dagney yelled at him. “She’s a friend of mine. You broke her arm. You can’t have sex with her.”
Can and did, twice. “I’ll see you in the morning Dagney.”
“It is morning!”
Foster must have heard enough. Bruce heard her say, “Put me down.”
“No luv.”
That was the last thing he heard as he closed the door to the guest bedroom. He looked at his bags. He hadn’t even unpacked them after arriving. He was almost pushing close to twenty hours of no sleep after a cross country flight and time zone change. He may have been asleep before his head hit the pillow.

Harmony was surprised when Dagney invited her to breakfast. Sure, they were friends, but in that co-worker, neighbor, sort of way. Dagney didn’t seem to let people get too close to her. Harmony remembered a few times they ran into one another in the laundry room. Dagney was an expert at small talk. Harmony sent a text back saying yes. She wasn’t sure if this had anything to do with the arm, or her brother, or just co-worker concern. Bruce said she was staying with Foster so it was probably just Dagney wanting to apologize for the situation.
As Harmony turned the corner she saw Bruce walking into the restaurant. Dagney and Foster were outside at a table. Damn the convenience of location in this neighborhood. She was on foot and Dagney had already spotted her. She was likely on the lookout and knew exactly which way she would be coming from.
Her arm shot up in the air and she waved her forward. Harmony put on her best ‘I did not fuck your brother less than ten hours ago’ expression and hoped it worked. She waved as she got closer to the
