given orders to bring you here but not to
let you in there.”
    “Why
the hell not?” Her hands went to her hips. “It’s not like they can hurt me or
anything. They’re freaking shackled.”
    The
male shrugged. “They could hurt you. You’ll note that their arms are free
enough to cause you damage.”
    “I
will not hurt her, Gideon,” Ross said.
    The
male’s eyes flashed to him. “What about the beast?”
    Ross
smiled. “The male came here, at risk to his life, to fight me for her. He may
want to do many things to the female, but I assure you that hurting her is not
on the list.”
    “My
queen will have my balls removed if the human is hurt.” Gideon winced and
grabbed his sacks for a second or two.
    “We
will not harm her.” Ross decided to try a different tact. “Were you given
specific instructions not to allow her into our cell?”
    The
male shook his head. “No, but I was told to guard her with my life.”
    “She
will not be harmed, of that you can be sure. Let her in, please, Gideon”
    “I
see the female as my mate,” the wolf growled.
    Becky
made a strangled noise.
    Rushe
glanced at Becky before looking back at the guard. “I will not harm her. I give
my word. You can remove my head if even a drop of her blood is spilled.”
    Gideon’s
eyes dropped to her throat and Ross had to suppress a growl. His female had a
delicious scent. A fact that would not be lost on any of the other males.
    The
male nodded. “I trust that you wouldn’t agree to allowing her in if you thought
the beast would harm her.” Gideon looked at Rushe as he pulled out a set of
keys. “I was impressed with how you stood up to our king. I wasn’t sure if it
was because you are really stupid or…”
    Rushe
growled, his lip curled away from sharp gleaming teeth.
    “Easy,
wolf.” Gideon smiled. “I have since decided that you have honor. I respect
that.” The cell opened with a creak. The hinges to the doors obviously hadn’t
been oiled in the longest time.
    Becky
rushed in, kneeling between them. One of her soft, warm hands curled around his
jaw. He glanced in the direction of the wolf, seeing that she had done the same
to the other male.
    “Look
at you.” Her eyes went from the wolf back to him. “What did that asshole do?”
She removed her hand while leaning in to the wolf, her focus on his bloody
nose.
    His
chest tightened and he had to work to keep from pulling her onto his lap, from
wrapping his arms around her and growling at the beast.
    Thankfully
she moved back to him, running her fingers over his face. “I need a first aid
kit. I can’t believe that fucker did this to you both.” Her eyes burned with
anger. “I’m going to give that son of a freaking bitch a piece of my mind.”
    She
turned her head to Gideon. “I need a first aid kit.”
    From
the sound of the groan the wolf made, Ross knew that his eyes would be fixed on
her chest which she thrust out as she turned. He glanced at the male and sure
enough, they were riveted on her heaving mammary glands.
    She
wore a tight white t-shirt, her breasts were encased in a bra but he could
still see tiny bumps where her nipples were. His cock twitched and he felt a
groan torn from his own throat.
    “Oh
god! You’re both in pain.” She hugged them both tight. One of her glorious
mounds mashed up against him.
    “We
are fine,” Rushe’s voice was gravelly. The male was just as aroused as he was.
Ross should be angered, but to his surprise he wasn’t.
    “But
all the blood on your faces…you must be hurt.”
    “No.”
His own voice was just as husky. “We are already healed. No need to be
concerned. I’m glad that you care so much though.” He couldn’t help but to grin
at her as she released them.
    She
cleared her throat and squared her shoulders. “I was worried that you had
killed each other. I would never be able to live with the guilt. It’s my
fault.” She bit down on her lip.
    “Don’t
say that,” Rushe said. “I don’t like that you
